[Engine Error]: A version error was found in the compiled game_session_config data. The engine wants version 37,
but found version 36 on disk. This means there is a mismatch between the data compiler
and the engine.

If you are building your own executables, make sure to rebuild both the data compiler and the
engine runtime and recompile your data. That should fix the issue.

As a last resort, if you can’t find any other way of getting rid of this error, you can
try to delete your data folder and recompile everything from scratch.

At D:\a\d\vt2-stingray\vt2\release\release_hon_2025_01_23_anniversary\runtime\foundation/resource/resource_version.h:20 in function stingray::resource_version_error

Our engine developers suspect the mod needs to be re-compiled.

They suggested to try verifying integrity of game files:

  1. Right-click Vermintide 2 in your Steam library sidebar
  2. Select ‘Properties’
  3. Select the ‘Local Files’ tab
  4. Select the ‘Verify the Integrity of Game Files’ button
  5. When complete, close and reopen Steam

Verify doesnt help. Also my mod is disabled, i did rebuild it tho but there were no updates to vermintide mod builder or SDK, i got all latest. So its caused by some other mod i got from workshop or what?

Actually nevermind, i found a broken mod, sorry for disturbing.

Ah, no worries! Glad to hear you found the culprit :slight_smile:
