Mixed input (controller + keyboard/mouse) no longer works

Issue Type (Required):

Input Devices (Keyboard, Mouse, Controller, etc.)

Issue Description (Required):

I have a mixed input scheme. I use my right hand on a mouse and my left one on a ps4 controller, connected via USB to my PC. This no longer works, no matter what I try.

I play on Linux via Proton, using a remapper (AntiMicroX) which translates the controller input to keyboard commands. This has worked since the beginning of the game. I relied on what I assume was a faulty controller detection, but since the “Machine God” update, it seems to have been “fixed”. Now the game detects either the controller or the mouse, overriding the AntiMicroX remap.

In essence, when I move the mouse, it works well, because the game listens to keyboard+mouse commands. But when the mouse is still and I use the controller, it reverts to the controller layout, ignoring the keyboard input (sent by AntiMicroX) and making gameplay impossible.

I tried using Steam Input to remap the keys, but it seems it only supports the Xbox controller(?). Using it makes no difference.

I understand this may be a very specific problem, but I really don’t see myself playing this again if I have to commit to either keyboard or controller. Any help, please?

Thank you in advance.

Ok, so INMIDIATELY after posting this, magically, it works again. I don’t know what I did, but I pray to God it doesn’t change.
