I am also having this issue. 100% of the time since pre-release beta and just confirmed on version 1.0.20. The new mesh quality slider had no effect on the broken models. I’ve verified integrity of game files multiple times, but I have not tried a full reinstall.
It looks like DrPyro and I both have an RTX 3080 and a Ryzen 5000 series processor, 5600X in my case. (I’m getting an error when trying to upload my log files.)
I posted this bug a while ago, acknowledged and a number of patches came and went with no changes. Aside from disabling mesh streming completely we’re stuck with broken models that’s noticable in every map in the game. Dissapointing and takes away from the experience, especially when it messes with the sights of certain weapons so its impossible to aim accurately.
It’s been a few months, any word back from them yet?
I understand its probably a small enough percentage of the playerbase that it ends up not being an issue worth the developer’s time to fix, but if that’s the case I’d love to get confirmation that its going to stay the way it is as to not get my hopes up each big patch.
still doing it and notably worse after the recent update. not so much the map but enemies and weapon models. seeing dogs with smooth playdogh skin. spawns to. be using melee and switch to range it looks like playdough and takes 10 or so seconds to load the proper textures. switch back to melee same thing. happens on other players to. also seems to happen WAY more often with DLSS on. rarely if ever noticed it playing at 1080p. got a new 1440p monitor and play with dlss on quality and it is constant. how hard is it to put a “disable texture streaming” option the settings like borderlands.
game is installed on a 980pro nvme ssd. 14700k 64gb ram and 2070super.
