Really short discussion should the longbow be available for mercenary too and not just huntsman since not only is it a fun weapon but kruber could really use a lot more ranged.

I would like giving Merc the option of the longbow but wouldn’t care if it remained exclusive to Huntsman 
Bows aren’t a common thing from what I can find for Imperial units in Warhammer, but if they add an Arbelest or something like a heavy crossbow, that would make sense on all of them except Grail Knight.

An arbalest would indeed be a cool thing.
May question is of course how it would be different from the gun Kruber already has? As both would be weapons that are slower reloading and harder hitting than the crossbow and longbow.
Even if it’s not historically very accurate, you could make it more of a mid range weapon, with worse accuracy than the longbow and less headshot multiplier, but with more piercing and more raw damage.
To make it more unique, maybe you could give it a ton of stagger, so you could light stagger Chaos Warriors on Cataclysm. In a way it would fit the same role as the Javelin.
