Issue Description:
Game rises to 15GB+ memory usage in around 2 minutes after launching and will keep going as high as it can. Had no such problems in the beta with and the game used to sit around 5-6GB usage.
Steps to Reproduce:
[Please add the steps that can help our QA department in reproducing the issue. For example:]
Launch game. Pick a character. Load into the lobby.
Platform:
Steam
Approx. Time of Issue & Timezone:
After the patch for the launch
Reproduction Rate:
100% Every launch of the game. Tried verifying the game content. Didn’t help.
Tested playing a mission. It will keep going until memory usage is practically 100% and the game stutters like crazy. Simply unplayable. I don’t get how you release a patch like this going from “beta” to launch.
It’s using MUCH more ram since the monitoring code was added in, which is my guess. Ended up at the same percentage with 16 gigs of ram while inside a mission. Though actually 90% since I had firefox up on the other screen.
So since the minimum requirement is listed at 8 gigs of ram, some of the sudden launch issue may be the people running 12 gigs being overtaxed.
It’s not “using more” it’s going up until there’s nothing left to give and then I assume it keeps pushing it into page file. I had firefox and discord running on the background and the game went up until firefox and discord both crashed.
Same problem. Game ate over 17000MB. Anyway it grows after couple of games. Did not noticed this behavious during pre-launch beta but noticed same behaviour during closed beta.
I had no problems in the beta but now I can’t make it through a single game. It takes a couple minutes from launching for the game to eat over 20GB of memory.
I ask you to return the game to the state of November 17, when everything was like clockwork without crashes and with stable FPS. Ty for Out of Memory .

Game crashes to desktop due after 2-3 games played to RAM leak with an error Out of Memory .
Same problem here; using a 2080 with 32 gigs of ram, game will always run up to 28 gigs and then crash, even if standing in a corner looking at nothing in the Mourningstar.
Changing number of helper threads did not make a difference; memory usage actually takes longer to fill up in the Meat Grinder than anywhere else.
RTX and Fidelity Super Resolution 2.0 seem to have markedly improved performance over the beta, but the memory rapidly filling up causes overall decreased performance, and of course, an inability to play a full session.
I have the same issue. The game ran fine in the closed and Pre-Order betas but now ram will start at mid-30’s and climb to high 90’s percent wise leading to a crash or unplayable performance.
Yep. I noticed it during the beta too but it seems to be even worse now.
I got 32GB of DDR4 RAM. I use MSI Afterburners/RTSS to monitor my performance. It starts around 9GB when the game launches and it climbed up to 20GB this evening just after doing a few missions. The performance degradation is there too. I have done the same mission/map multiple times and the performance gets worse with each new run.
Win 10
i7 7700K @ 4.7GHz
RTX 2070 (526.98)
32GB DDR4 RAM
EVO 860 SSD (Game’s on it)
Actually cant play more than 5 mins before eating 21gigs of ram and then crashing. Have a level 30 character and played 60 hours during the beta just fine so its not on my end.
Darktide requests Windows to Commit all memory available to the game for some reason. Its working set remains at ~4gb though so its not even doing anything with all that ram
