Been playing Vet since the start of the beta and thought most of the Vet’s penances up until this one were pretty fair. They make you optimally play your class with minimal impact to your team dynamic.
But to my surprise, “Make Every Shot Count” forces you to ONLY hinder your team. This is a purely selfish achievement that requires the Vet to play using the revolver (due to low ammo count) and saving his ammo till the very end. All the while not focusing specials due to his ammo refund talent. This goes against his entire class’s playstyle and core role.
This will encourage Vets to only use melee or just quit back to lobby after missing their first shot. It is certainly not something you are going to accidentally stumble upon since a majority of guns in this game have iron sights and will miss while trying to weave shots between hordes unless you are a living aimbot.
I understand the need to make these achievements challenging, but this type of achievement is going to ruin the gameplay of any teammate that is in the lobby of the achievement hunter Vet.
I have seen people state on other posts that this is the fault of the player, dragging their team down by going for these toxic achievements. But why not just make the achievements synergize with the class? I think the “Deadeye” achievement is a perfect example of this. The Vet can try it multiple times throughout missions, and it fits perfectly into his role since they need to dispatch multiple priority targets anyways!
I just want this game to be fun for myself and my teammates. I don’t want to be that toxic Vet that joins a lobby with my revolver purposely hindering others good time. Due to that I will not be trying for this achievement and just hoping the devs will change it to synergize with the Vet’s role so that I can get it while helping my team.
Thanks for taking the time to read my little rant. I truly love this game and hope to see it flourish.
