Low FPS and losing contact to host (good pc, good internet)

We kindly ask that you complete the questions below. With this information, we can investigate your issue properly.

Issue Description:

The game seems to be permanently stuck around 15 frames per second when I have good specs. Also seem to lose connection to the host no matter who is hosting, when I have fiber internet, the screenshot is attached below (9 ping in texas - 800 down 300 up). Not sure what the problem is, I don’t have any issues on other games, even on darktide I sit around 90-120 fps with 0 connection problems.

Hi @nudsu1,

For performance, I recommend to try disabling the Steam Overlay (if enabled) as this has been known to cause noteable performance issues, and other potential solutions here:

For connectivity issues, such as regularly losing connection to host, solutions here may help:

Fixed my performance, it was a problem on my end, for some reason the game was utilizing my integrated graphics and wouldn’t switch.

As for the connection drops and constant [Lost contact with the host] and the game freezing, I’m not sure what to do about that. I’ve tried everything, I allowed steam and vermantide in my anti-virus. I’ve verified my integrity, restarted my computer multiple times, restarted the game, and messed with the ingame network settings. I have fiber internet. I’ve never had network or connectivity problems in any video game since switching to my current provider. The problem definitely lies within the game and the game only, if there is a setting on steam or within vermantide’s config file I need to change please let me know.

Glad to hear the performance has improved!

Hmm, really the only thing to set for Steam is the Download Region, which is one of solutions in the article - which you may have already done.
