while using the mortis operative torso piece on the zealot one day, i noticed a hood on my zealots back. naturally, i dismissed it at first, simply thinking that i was seeing things or it was a glitch. then i saw it again and again and again. i then noticed hoods on the backs of other zealot cosmetics. that is when i realized i needed to say something about this. so please, let us use the hoods, hats, and helmets that are hanging on our backs when we use some armor sets, it would be really damn cool.
honestly, they should just change it from white to something like yellow or blue or even purple. or just change the shape of the hood so that it doesn’t look like a Klan hood.
I think there’s like 1 white hood and the rest are blue, tan or red. The problem is its a taboo. They look nothing like klan hoods and even if they did they’re actually just representing executioner’s hoods from ye olden days. But taboos tend to be unsubtle in their enforcement. So pointy hoods are banned.
It is what it is. Its not gonna change because no one wants to catch a bunch of bad publicity over a largely irrelevant cosmetic being misunderstood, possibly maliciously, and for sure stupidly. Its the right decision from a practical standpoint.
Or just disable the stupid hood physics if an accessory slot is equipped. Unless they make some that aren’t backpacks at some point we don’t need to see it flop out of books/vox casters/field samples.
Never underestimate how deadly seriously stupid politics is. Just think about how many 40k lore goblins will visciously argue for hours about irrelevant lore minutia, then apply that to any real world subject. Thats politics.
