Right now, the game is in a bad place for me. My mates and I finish at least one 40 every week so we’re always at that rank. Sometimes I login on my on and I’m faced with playing maelstrom or auric games that now feel too easy, join a Havoc rank that is too easy (it’s mostly stuff under 22), or start a 40 and have multiple people around level 40 with no havoc rank try to join me before I bail out because the pool of people to play that level is just not online.
So, either too easy or guaranteed massacre in the first 5 minutes. No, I’m not good enough to solo a 40 (which it turns into) and even if I was, it’s still picking between 2 extremes: too boring or too sweaty. Just let me pick the rank so can play a suitable difficulty based on whether I’m with friends or not.
The down ranking process is terrible. It’s slow and irreversible. So you can’t run a meme build game at 32 or something and then later run a 40. What is the point? We already beat 40. We already have True Survivor. Just let us play the difficulty that feels suitable to the builds we want to run or the pool of people available online.
Hell, I’d take a Havoc Maelstrom mission where there is an always running Havoc 30 or something. We need an option in between.
