Why can’t you … ?

  • make interesting daily quests with interesting rewards
  • make interesting weekly quests
  • add an ever continuous (interesting) quest that gets exchanged upon completion giving maybe just one random drop (but including a red chance)
  • increase the abysmal red chance
  • increase the abysmal cosmetic chance
  • give every weapon illusion a rune version? I don’t mind if it is a bit like the new halberd & crossbow.
  • add red dust to upgrade an item to red quality
  • make reskins that aren’t just recolors that look cool and not like clown clothing (Salzpyre is personally offended by non black or brown cloaks)
  • make it so hats change color with the skins as well
  • engage in a discussion with us about balance and pin it for everybody to see. We would be upmost interested to engage with you on this topic.

It’s already decided it’s either the strength potion or the healing draught.
The real question is which loot box get’s reskinned recolored.

It’s 7,99€. You are not forced to buy it. I don’t understand why it’s such a big deal. I like the new Maps. I like most of the fixes they have made. The new cosmetics are welcome. However, I don’t fancy them at all since I almost got all reds already. New hats? Fine I guess.
The only real complaint I would leave is that the new Bögenhafen boxes are not class specific like the other boxes. When I open a box on Sienna. I want loot for Sienna. Not Kruber. That is my only beef with this DLC.

It’s pretty much pay for horrible RNG, which is why I haven’t bought the DLC yet.

Yep, it’s not a big money and not a big deal, but hey, we have core game with 13 maps sold for 30€, and now we have DLC with 2 maps and some recolors selling for 8€. Look, there is no content besides 2 maps, no new weapons, no careers etc.

Most fixes are good, but we have a lot of stuff that was done in VT1 or one of it’s DLCs and is non-existent in VT2. We have a huge downgrade in loot and crafting system, it’s so damn unrewarding it’s hillarious how FS achieved this result. We don’t have bounty board, what we have now is just a bullcrap with stupid unintersting quests and another random rewards, the biggest problem is, Okri Daylies can’t motivate lots of ppl to play this game, when Bounty board could.

A few words about reds. I’m happy for you, but I got something like 80 reds or so and I only have near complete collection for 1 character and a few weapons for others, but hey, I got tonns of dupes, especially jewelry, and you know what? If I open more vaults there is no garantee I’ll get something I want, more likety i’ll get another bunch of necklaces or trinkets, yay!

P.S. We also got a bunch of weapon tweaks with this patch, I’m happy for what FS did with Zweihander, but all the bes weapons are still best ones most of the people play with, Halberd/DnD/Falcion/1h Hammer or Mace/Hagbane/Crossbow/etc. But maybe some other weapons exept Zweihander recieved buffs and can compete with those FOTMs? Well no, after all the changes arming sword is still arming sword with no real solution to armour, same is true for SnS, all shield weapons still gives you huge disadvantage in mobility and doesn’t provide any real advantages to compensate it, Spear is still mediocre at the best, it has great reach and stagger but lacks ARP, cleave and damage, it’s light stabs that are single target attacks still do very litthe gamage and have no ARP.

TL;DR- with patch or w/o it good weapons are still good, bad weapons are moslty bad, the only real winner is Zweihander. Is it good change? Defenetly yes. But is it enough? I don’t think so.

Can agree with this.

I read this so many times in the last half year… what was much better with the bountyboard`? You had some “time-based-buffs”, that are not necessary in V2. Definately not after that tons of buffs this patch…
Yes it was quite cool to choose 1 item, you want to farm. But even that was RNG. First of all you had to get the quest + you´ve to finish a lot of dailies.

The new system is in comparison the same. Just without buffs and random loot. But atleast you do know, that you´ll get a cosmetic chest and don´t have to wait for the “cosmetic-quest” you want.

V2 just got “casualized”. Fast and easy loot… To make this game a real progess grinder, it needs a lot of more stuff / difficulties to farm. Red´s + recoloured cosmetics everywhere and the latest patch, killed the “dangerous situations” for experienced players.
Deeds would´ve been the perfect system for that.
Green deeds for red shards to buy red´s, blue deeds for cosmetic/illusion shards and orange deeds for rare stuff.
I would welcome everything, but not the bounty board again. It was something for the core-players and not everyone + it´s already too late to implement that. FS already messed it up with the “loot-spam”, when there is no loot to farm. That´s even too much for casual-gamers.

Yep, I agree, it’s so bad to see what you’ll get for this quest, even if it’s bunch of orange dust, it’s way more exiting to get another lootbox with nothing inside or just another dupe.

Too bad some people don’t want to understand that too much RNG is not a good thing at all, it’s just another source of frustration for big number of players and just feels unrewarding and stupid. It can work prety good in a game with tradeing between players, like POE. And still POE has a lot of ways to obrain sertain unique or rare with needed stats.

It´s RNG in both ways. Yes you were able see what you get and i never called that aspect bad. But if you get tons of dust form chests or quests won´t change anything. Same works for cosmetics… have luck with your chest or have luck with your quest.

Edit: Endless grind for a Bountyboard is stupid for a lot of players too. Not for the core, but for the casuals a company needs to exist.

FS can´t go another way… sadly… There isn´t enough stuff to farm, no base for good quests, no NPC´s with problems. It was exactly the same in V1. Play this, kill that… the game can´t handle more.
I mean, they had to implement bottles and buttons for some quests. Yeah finally something but that´s all for 1 time. The lack of content and variants in the gamedesign doesn´t allow more than that poor quest/lootdesign.

That is precisely what I’m aggravated about.
I’d not complain if those boxes just didn’t exist, or if boxes gained from playing the new maps just had a tiny chance for new items just like regular reds.
But this new system - it devalues the dlc.
It’s just dangling in front of my nose the fact that there’s things I don’t have or might want, all the while I know perfectly well that I probably won’t get them.
As absurd as it sounds that I’d be ok with less content, but I’m thinking of refunding the dlc precisely to not get those boxes.

So now lack of content is an excuse for implimenting awfull loot system? GRREAT!! I just dunno what else to say about it. Don’t get me wrong, I like this game a lot, it’s core gameplay is good, even with all flaws and inconsistencies it has, but hey, I played more than 600 hrs and I have only 4 careers preety maxed where I tried most of builds I want. And yes, most of this 600 hrs where played in legend, I’m not even saying about 3 cosmetics in more than 700 comm chests (I can’t say the exact number coz I don’t wanna calculate how many commendation chests I’ve got from Okri’s).

If such progression is motivating and rewarding for you it’s ok, but for me it seems complete bullcrap.

I don´t say it´s an excuse. There is just no content to build great quests / loot on.

  • End the map on xy difficulty
  • Kill xy
  • Play as xy
  • Retrieve xy

That´s pretty all they can and do right now. (Next to the unique challenges)

They could add stuff like “Finish a map , where noone gets downed etc.” Bot those stuff would be to hard for a lot of ppl or just depends too much on other players.

With some active NPC´s on the maps, it would be much better. Especially the first part of the Pit would be great for something like that and you won´t rush the whole tome > grim > tome > grim > tome line.
If you could find an NPC there, who beg you to find his daugther / escort him / etc. for a special cosmetic, buff etc… that would be awesome.
So just rare special events on the map with special rewards. This is just an idea, but without such ideas it´ll always be “kill xy/ retrieve xy” for the same stuff over and over again. No matter if it´s a bounty board, challenges, dailies, strongboxes, whatever…

Loot / the current progression was never/ isn´t a reward/motivation for me. I like the gameplay and i like to beat challenges. Even if them are just personal like “I bet you can´t finish xy solo”. They killed legend actually. -.-
So i just would prefer to find a good system / new system for everyone, which isn´t just a board with boring even runners quests or legend only.

Heh. I’ve had full red on my main Sienna since ~400 hours played. Only lack 1-4 weapons on all other characters for full red.

Congratulation, U R da real winnah! So what? I have a friend hwo played this game for almost 300 hrs and he got sonething about 10 reds half of wich were dupes, and then he quit coz this feels unrewarding for him.

The group I play with used to look at the V1 forum, seeing people saying that Cataclysm was impossible. We took that challenge and played with base loadout on all characters with no trinkets and still completed the levels without any problems. That’s the kind of challenges that I think is rewarding.
All the complaints about cosmetics and reds are for me just stupid. I don’t need any cosmetics, I don’t gain anything from having a bunch of cosmetics. I would like to see some new weapons but there’s a big problem with weapon designs in this game.

1: If they design all weapons to have very similar stats and abilities there will only be one sort of weapon. As an example, if dual daggers, one-handed sword, glaive, and spear had the same ARP, horde clear and single damage, why even pick a weapon? They are all the same.
Or 2: They weapons are extremely niched for one purpose which would make them situational. Having a weapon that only is good at killing bosses would not help if you are run down by a horde every 2 min and having a single boss for that level.

When it comes to items for me it would help a lot if they had the weapon box at the start of the level as they had in V1. If I join a boss level I can pick weapons that are better for that boss or having better horde clear or elite killing.

But no, cosmetics and reds are just a bonus, it’s not the reward for overcoming challenges.

So he got 300 hours out of a game that costs less than €30? That’s not a bad deal in any sense of the word. Sure it might be anoying not getting items, but it should never be the goal to get all reds, you can still manage with orange items without any problem. If your goal with playing the game is just getting cosmetics and reds, this is not the game for you.

In today’s skinnerbox style games (most of them), number of hours of play is no longer a useful metric on how much value someone gets out of a game.

Great complain “but u played 300-400-500-etc hrs for 30$ why r u dissutisfied?”. But hey, I played DOTA 2 for a few trousands hrs and spent there a lot more than 30$, but the problem is, no matter how much time or money I spent in it I can’t recomend it to someone or write positive review. Very similar story is with VT2, I spend a lot of time here and I like the game, but it has so many flaws I just can’t recomend it to almost any person.

I totally disagree with this statement, if I wanna test some builds I need reds, I can’t reliably get oranges with the stats I want due to ugly crafting system. Even with reds it sometimes takes 500+rolls to get properties I need!

And a few words about cosmetics and illusions. It was not me, but FS advertising that VT2 will have great amount of cosmetic to customise character’s appearance. Or it was just false advertising?
