All of a sudden my lasgun is using multiple charges per shot. Before it was 1 charge per shot now its 3. What happened ?

Was always three. Been complaints. Well, some I think are two, but I don’t think any are 1-1.
You changed las gun models. There are 3 variants of each model and each uses varying amounts of power pack per shot. Not sure if a Kantrael has a 1 ammo shot though.
I believe all semi-auto variants use 3 ammo per shot. I assume this is to facilitate that one blessing that grants a 33% ammo consumption duration if you didn’t shoot for 5 seconds. (What a spectacular benefit)
I believe the blue semi auto with a faster rate one uses 2 charges, the standard 3, and the Lucius 4 unless charged. Kantrael is 3 to my memory as well. And the auto ones are 1.
Whatever the reason behind it, there has to be a better way of handling this. Using multiple units of ammo per shot is so unnatural… Make the 33% perk a free shot every 3 shots perhaps, but for the love of the Emperor have 1 shot = 1 unit of ammo as a general rule.

Or better yet lower the magazine size and just put the appropriate 1 to 1 usage and avoid this Arthur Anderson style of accounting.

Agree. This feels like they wanted to inflate the numbers for marketing but didn’t want to actually give us the advertised product. Stealth nerf.
The reason different las gun patterns consume different ammo types is due to the fact the battery pack is universal. the battery pack in the kestral pattern can be used even in the las pistol, which is cool.
that being said, the excuse is flimsy and i agree that a more clear cut ammo count would be nice.
