Matchmaking
The in-game friends list is non-functional, nobody shows up. Trying to join via steam is extremely unreliable.
The only way I was able to play with friends at all was after multiple minutes of attempts to get a join or invite working, it seems to be working fine on their end but not on mine.
Is this happening because of a large steam friends list?

Can +1, tried to play a game with a friend who was actively playing a character in the hub but it showed only as “Online on Steam”. When I joined the party, his portrait was completely blank and only showed as “in operative selection”, and I could not queue for a mission, it saying that a party member wasn’t available.
Like this, right?
I want to add that the only reason the game is even playable for me to begin with is because joining/inviting seems to work fine for my friends. If not for that the game would be unplayable.
The in-game friends list has no problem loading up random players from previous missions but it refuses to load the people that are actually on my friends list this is infuriating

I can’t even start a mission, I have to get another strike team member to start one for me. WTF
I had the same issue, i deactivated my mods, restarted and waited for about 2 min in the social tab, then my friends reappeared.
Sorry to ping y’all here but being able to reliably play with my friends is extremely important to me and others. This issue is severe enough for me to have noticeably affected my mood for the day.
It’s affecting a noticeable portion of players though a lot of other players seem to be fine.
@FatsharkJulia @FatsharkStrawHat Is this an urgent issue for Fatshark? I hope this issue can get fixed within this week at least.
This is exactly how the Social menu has behaved for some people already.
It’s always been a mess, now it’s just worse.
It used to be awful from launch till today but at least joining, inviting and using friend codes actually worked previously. None of these options are working on my end anymore.
Connectivity
Simple one, My friends and I play the Game, then we found that only using Steam work for the two of them since they got the game there, but as I play via microsoft store, I can’t play with them.
This is MAJOR for us, and an absolute game-killer for me. I did try to launch it without mods, no difference at all.
I tried the FS code, not working in either way (Them sending the invit to me or inverse).
I tried the Search option, I can’t join anyone and nobody can join, only send a request that’s lost in the void.

I just figured out how to fix it. You need to restart all Xbox services, terminate then reload the Xbox app, and then log out and back into Xbox. They must’ve done something to the Xbox Services sync during the update.
Update: It broke again after about 2 hours. Can’t get it working anymore.
Matchmaking
After Hotfix #51. I can’t find my friends in game.I only can see my friends steam online even they loggin Mourning Star.
I can’t receive party invite in game, Today when my friends invivted me, I only can see the red information that show the party Invitation canceled. If I invite my friends they will get a invitation from steam chat window.I can’t send invite in game means(XXX want invite you join the fire team) But they can join my party then they can invite other friends at game invitation.
After this, I can’t see any information about character in party. But we can play the game as normal. Also I can’t see any other players’ avatar in Mourning Star social menu and also can’t see they are steam user or XBOX user.
I didn’t change any Network Settings. 4players only I got this trouble. I have tried enabling or disabling mods. The problem has not been solved. looks like there is some error between the game server and steam?

who are you 和 true level 这两个模组暂时出现小问题，等更新就好了
如果等不及你可以先从txt里面暂时去除这俩模组。可以正常游玩

经过确认是需要重命名fat shark账号 与mod无关
社交里面点自己的头像重命名fat shark账号之后重启游戏就行了 目测是接口问题

That’s right, the message lag is caused by server updates
Are you using True level or any similar mods? We had some issues joining games last night, but disabling True level fixed it.
Could just be a coincident so take this info with a grain of salt.
