I just played 2 havoc games after updating the game and everytime i shoot with the plasma gun the game freezes for me and another one of my teamates. After the game i asked my buddy on discord to test it out, he enabled the performance monitor on steam and sure enough he entered a test game and saw huge fps drops when shooting as well.

y can confirm its happening
to fix the issue goto steam and in the games launch options put -DX11
fixed the issue for me. also i noticed in game they took away the option to change from directx 11 and directx 12

I just had the same issue, only on Plasma gun. It is awful, it drops like a full second of frames and inputs after switching to plasma and quick firing it. And I was already using -DX11 in steam launch options.

Not only that, but extensive use for me and my bother causes heavy in game stutter and sometimes the weapons doesnt even want to fire. And this was not a problem yesterday before the hotfix. I also do not use any mods, nad the game usually runs fine.

im having this same issue. i have done no testing myself yet nor have i played vet since No Man’s Land so i cannot attest to wheather this is new or not, but the plasma gun is nearly unusable at the moment. every shot, charged or uncharged, comes with signifigant drop in frames. the only thing that can be hit are stationary targets, or targets which wonder into your crosshair. there is a drop in frames both immediately after starting the attack, and when the plasma gun actually fires.
