Confirmed, I just ran a malice mission, took zero melee damage at all, didn’t get On Overwatch. Very frustrating.

As an update, I was able to complete both penances today. No idea why it didn’t take the first time.
Tried to run On Overwatch and Untouchable again today. Chasm Terminus Assassinate mission with a Low Intensity modifier. Completed the run having taken no damage to health, melee or otherwise, yet again. Neither penance proc’d. Would be nice if the devs put a little more effort into fixing this instead of the cash shop.

So I started a quick match got in to a late game and did not get hit once by a single melee strike, nothing not even a dog nor a mutant even grabbed me! But the penance “On Overwatch” wasn’t completed. Is this because was a match in progress? If so what a horrible flaw. I did it, I completed the challenge! Never have I ever been so frustrated.

I completed the Sharpshooter penace to complete a mission on Malice without losing health. I expected the other defense penace to complete a mission without taking health damage to also complete but it did not.

I just had the same happen to me on “Throneside”.
Issue Description:
I completed the round on “Malice”. I never disconnected. I never received a single point of health damage from any source since I finished the round on full health, no one ever dropped a med kit and I never used a medicae servitor. I got downed by a hound and lost some toughtness to melee attacks but never health. No penance registered. Very disheartening after so many attempts while trying not to be too much of a non-asset to the team.

edit: hopefully this is not something like the game tracking fractions of health damage but the UI rounding it up to full numbers, letting you mistakenly believe that you can still complete the penance.
Same for me. Even if, as Psyker ‘On Overwatch’ should not have triggered (which is not specified in the penance, so I assume it is possible to achieve On Overwatch as Psyker), at least ‘Untouchable’ should have triggered. Only damage taken came from Grimoires.

I can confirm that Grimoire ‘damage’ also causes this Penance to fail, sorry to say.
I can confirm this and have now completed the penance 2 times with it not activating. I am 100% confident I did not get hit even a single time with a melee attack on malice and I mean 0 damage to even toughness…THE ONLY explanation I can think of is that when I joined the server it was maybe 20 steps in from where the spawn happens and not from the joining screen and spawning at the start of the mission… but it was essentially right from the start of the mission both times…right from the first enemy…IF this is the case then tell me now and I will uninstall the game…I spent several hours trying to do this…you dont allow the player to chose that he starts from the beginning where you automatically plug him into a game…and even thought it was 99.9% done you penalise him for something you dont give the player a choice for…I cannot know when you will throw me directly into a server or when I will wait for players…it happens without me chosing…also I think I have completed it more than 2 times…as I have done it several times where even my toughness was not even reduced by 1 point even once,but once i thought a mutant grabbing me ruined it…while it gave me 0 damage, another time the same with the hound where you cannot properly dogde/push it accurately…you already designed these penances so poorly as its making players not shoot or hide or playing extremely selfish…or many times just exiting the server as soon as they get 1 hit…its such a disgusting choice of goals…that destroys teamwork…please fix this bug and award people who have already fulfilled the criteria the penance…DO NOT FIX IT AND THEN ASK PPL TO DO IT AGAIN…it was irritating enough already to do it…people just want to play and enjoy…not worry about missing a single shot and getting hit from a random pox that keeps spawning from behind for no reason…make penances for damage dealt…or speed of run… that encourages better gameplay…also there is no incentive to play well as there is no reward for better players…most just stand around getting carried…penalizing better players…please see real issues with the game…or your key players who paid full money from day 1 and enjoy playing will leave the game very soon.
Just legitimately finished the On Overwatch achievement. I did get the Untouchable achievement but not on overwatch. I know I didn’t get any melee damage cause I played in a really toxic manner i.e. Stay far away from melees and abuse camo expert (Really crappy and anti team design FS just saying). Is there any way we can get the achievement credited? It’s not the players fault that the game is not giving us the achievement when we have 100% not gotten hit by anything.

I lost my run to a dog bouncing off of me and doing 1hp damage through 100% toughness. The paranoia is justified. This penance is a nightmare.
Aye, I can confirm as well, I just finished a sedition level mission(since the penance doesn’t specify which difficulty) and No damage aside from the shields, yet the penance is still unattained, hopefully this’ll be patched and fixed soon, love the game thus far aside.

This should be fixed, from a design perspective you don’t want to punish people who are trying to achieve penances with grimoires active. It feels terrible for the player to INCREASE difficulty and get punished even harder.
Tried multiple times in a row for the “On Overwatch” and “Untouchable” penance sitting at 262 toughness, 179 hp, and getting hit by anything still causes me to drop to 178 hp and fail the penance. Even at full toughness I still take miniscule health damage. I thought this bug was patched but apparently not, this is incredibly aggravating.
Wait, wait, wait.
I join a public game, it’s two steps from the start, I go through the mission and I don’t get it? So, I have to QUIT the public mission, go through the 5 minutes of loading screens then have to launch it again and hope I don’t get plunked into another public game in progress?
Let me help you with your game here. If someone joins a PUBLIC game, you know, something they cannot control they get a pass they can do it without actually doing the full mission. If it’s a PRIVATE game or someone is joining anothers strike team which is 3/4, then it has to be from the start.
Programming wise, check to see if the player is by themselves and joining a public game. If so, a variable “allow_public_pennance” is set to 1. When the mission ends and you’re checking to see if the mission was started part way, you check that variable and it bypasses those checks. Easy.
I don’t know why you’re applying a blanket rule that f’s over players and causes them to have to take stupid actions to be able to do the challenge they want. These are supposed to be fun.
