Yeah we’d have to wipe everything on the PC to downgrade though… it’s only Darktide that crashes for me also.

None of this works. Memory Integrity and VMP was already off. Everything in graphics settings is on, and disabling the Wi-Fi adapter does nothing. That was the only thing I could change, but I just crashed the exact way as always.
Since it works for you, can you check your console logs and see if it says “Windows 10” for you as well? Since this seems to be occurring much more on Windows 11, and all my logs say I use Windows 10, I want to see what the log of someone who does not have the crash says. They keep not saying if it is normal that the logs identify my install as the wrong Windows version.
Yeah just “DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG” crashed exiting mission with Mem Integ off and VMP off, it could be a different bug vs random in-mission crashes?
HRESULT: 2289696773 = DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED: GetDeviceRemovedReason() = DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG, apparently happened in VT2 a lot 5 years ago.
It always says Windows 10 internally, the build number is what’s of interest now for Win 11 build >22000 IIRC.
I had just re-enabled Ray Tracing to troubleshoot, earlier tonight I ran with RT off for a few hours and only crashed once but that’s anecdotal.
I suppose the real test would be to start turning off DLSS, RT, Reflex, any nV stuff.
It would be nice if DT+EAC allowed us to swap DLSS DLLs like other games do.
I’m really wondering if updating all the nV stuff would provide any relief, at the very least DLSS replacement could allow for future drop-ins for nV gfx fixes.
It’s interesting that DT is using nVidia Streamline layer https://developer.nvidia.com/rtx/streamline, but a more recent 1.3.3.0 version than what’s on GitHub? Plague Tale is 1.3.2.0 . Issue somewhere in this stack? I’m not a gfx dev, just spitballin’

Some “Exploit Protection” exclusions are worth a try too I suppose, running out of things to try but at least some crashes seem Win11 specific.

I don’t know how to check if these crashes are GPU-related or random, always (but rarely) happen during gameplay to my gf’s laptop.

crashing after less than 5 minutes into joining mission or even earlier. … beyond frustrating
Still crashing randomly from 5 to 20 minutes of gameplay either hub or mission. In missions it usually 3-5 crashes per game.

Managed to finish 11 or so missions today with pretty good performance and no crashing after the patch released 12-2-2022. Most of my settings were what Nvidia had recommended me to use, but I turned off everything to do with RTX and turned off DLSS, only Nvidia low-latency was enabled for the purpose of capping the frame-rate to 120fps.
Nothing of note really happened until the last mission where while my teammates were fighting somewhere outside my field of view I happened to be jumping while picking up an ammo-tin and caused a GPU Hang.
The map was Throneside and there really wasn’t anything else remarkable going on as far as I could tell. I will post the code given by the crash prompt and .dmp file below.
I did have a web-browser streaming music in the background (two tabs), but I had done that for 3 prior missions so I’m not sure it’s too relevant, felt worth mentioning for complete transparency.

I have NOT made any edits to the user_config file since the drop of the latest patch, I really do appreciate the patch as it allowed me to be able to play the game for quite some time with very pretty settings on.
According to Windows Reliability Monitor the Parameters for this event were different, so the constant crashing during every mission without fail is fixed, but I may’ve stumbled across a different event that potentially causes a GPU Hang.
