Workaround: Disable Control Flow Guard (including Hardware-enforced Stack Protection) for Darktide
How-To (Win11): Start → Windows Security → App & browser control → Exploit Protection Settings → Program Settings → Add program to customize (add Darktide here, typically the binary will reside in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer 40,000 DARKTIDE\binaries\Darktide.exe) → Under Control Flow Guard (CFG) select ‘Override system settings’ and toggle ‘Off’ and Under Hardware-enforced Stack Protection select ‘Override system settings’ and toggle ‘Off’ → Apply → Load Darktide and enjoy a more performant (and hopefully crash-free) experience
I and several others have had a much more performant (and crash-free) experience since disabling these protections. It’s not ideal, but does appear to work for the time-being.
