The release of 1.6.1 has introduced some unintended issues that result in audio stuttering or distortion, sometimes accompanied by a Deadlock crash.

I have since removed the recommendation to switch to the experimental build, as it was shown to be ineffective.

To add to Axel’s request above… From what we’ve been reading, it seems some players have been able to work around these issues using one or more of the options below: Disabling Windows Sonic/Spatial Sound and/or, the options below within the Darktide ‘Options’ → ‘Audio’ menu: Changing ‘Sound Device’ Changing ‘Speaker Settings’ Changing ‘Audio Mix Presets’ If any of these have worked for you, please let us know here.
