The Ammo stat no longer influences magazine capacity on any weapon that has it. Instead, regardless of what level your Ammo stat is at, you get the lowest possible number.
I’m curious though, why are you not against this? This is a straight nerf to many weapons that are already underperformers. The best weapons are unaffected by this issue.
There was no change in patch notes to the Veterans Plasma Gun, however in the new patch the clip size is 112 instead of 135, just asking if this is intentional or a bug
I also having this problem maybe the broke something while dealing with the new bolter and headhunter AUG ammo because those are the only weapon that were changed their ammo stat.
The plasma gun has a different ammo count than before the patch. Backup ammo and ammo in magazine used to be equal (135 each) but now the two ammo counts are different (112 and 135).
Why I believe this to be a bug:
because it wasn’t mentioned in the patchnotes (not too strong of a point, i know)
magazine count of 112 isn’t devisible by 3 which seems unintentional considering that every other weapon in the game has a matching magazine ammo amount relative to their firing cost (at 80% ammo stat where applicable).
Ammo stat no longer affect magazine capacity which is also new and unmentioned behaviour.
There is obviously a chance that this was done intentionally and simply not mentioned in the patchnotes either intentionally or unintentionally.
Steps to Reproduce (Required):
Equip Plasma gun
Look at the UI to see the 112 ammo count in magazine
(OPTIONAL) compare differing ammo stat plasma guns to each other and observe that mag capacity stays 112.
Based on my current experience, infantry lasers and recon lasers are becoming increasingly awkward to use. The increase in enemy health values, combined with the decrease in battery capacity, makes it difficult for them to deal with enemies like shotgunners and plasma cannon operators.
Yeah they’re being left out to dry, enemy health value changes and carapace spam make plasma more necessary every patch. Unless you’re running onslaught, which in my limited testing seems less effective than before due to this ammo issue and increased HP on enemies.
