Kill Scabs with Melee takes forever

I’ve been saying this forever, get rid of the specifics and make it kills regardless if its melee or ranged, maybe as well to compensate add kills vs specials and kills vs elites

This. This. One hundred percent this.

The system we have now just encourages bad play. The people I play with are smart enough not to go for melee in a bad situation, but still. If this is to force people to go into melee more then nerf the ammo even more (and let the flame wars begin).

It’s been forcing me to play mmt solo games with bots and even that’s a struggle because the bots randomly decided to throw contracts by going into melee (I do all ranged contracts) it’s unhealthy and horrible, get rid of melk already

Melk is fine, but these missions should be merged (just kill scabs or kill dregs).

I would also like Melk to have tiered rewards. Say you get kill scabs, then there are four levels clearly marked out (250, 500, 750, and 1000), and the same for all other types of weapons.

Now, if you finish all of the lower-tier missions you get a certain reward, the next step. some more and so on so that you in weeks where you have more time can grind them all to max, and otherwise grind them maybe half-way and still get a weekly bonus (although not as much as if you’d have gone all the way).

I dunno. I’d like to see this.

I’d rather see the kill contracts split into:
Kill Scabs
Kill Dregs
Kill enemies with melee
Kill enemies with ranged

I support the tiered contract system, and would like to have the weekly bonus be tiered too, but with a point system.

So completing Tier 1 on one contract gives 1 point, T2 gives 2p, etc. and have the bonus require 6 points for T1 reward, 18p for T2, 36p for T3 and 48p for T4. That way you can get some of the bonus even if you hyperfocus on a few contracts, get the corresponding tier bonus for completing all contracts at a lower tier, and getting all the bonus if you finish T4 of 3 contracts and T3 of the remaining 3.

I’m not a fan of this as it incentivises bad play that is not optimal for the current situation. So do some penances, but I don’t mind those as much because you hunt them for a while and then you are done.

This is another perfectly fine way of doing it.

The Tiered contract system idea is nice. No more getting close to 1000 kills and then being “too late”
