The bots are not “mentally” aware of this Chaos Waste curse and will happily sit in it and die. Over. And over. Whether they’re stuck in a corner surrounded, trimming an enemy horde wave or simply after killing a single assassin or leech special in a lull between fights.
Bots should be highly resistant to, or just flat out immune to khorn skull totems. It’s entirely unfair to watch them sit in the radius and blow up when they could easily move out of danger if they had a shred of intelligence. To a lesser degree bots should be resistant to poison globes as well. Even this far after launch they still dive into clouds trying to revive and get themselves killed. In the worst case this can cause a conga line of all three bots diving into the cloud and dying for no reason.
If something to this effect is implemented I wouldn’t consider it OP. Think of it as the same “handwaved” convenience as bots being immune to fall damage, or bots being unable to deal friendly fire. The bots can’t be allowed to drag down the rest of the party by doing things a human player wouldn’t because that ruins the fun for everyone.
yeah, we had the same though in my group after letting the bot die for the third time to blood tornado in one round, it’s like they enjoy standing in the middle of it.
I agree. That and the plague/acid pool in Garden of Morr (they treat it like a swimming pool, happily floating in there until they get downed).
Patrols should also be immune to bots’ ranged attacks or ults until they are aggroed by a human player, so bots won’t be able aggro patrols.
The same rationale for the mechanic where bots can’t deal friendly fire damage, can’t take fall damage (Patch 4.2), and can’t fall from ledges unprovoked (Patch 4.6) applies here.
