Just came back on here after a long break to be a broken record and complain about the cash shops inane rotation system again.
I wanted to buy a chainsword skin months ago (The one with the shark tooth pattern), but was in the prime of “I don’t support your awful practices and am not interested in spending more money on this game after you gave Xbox players 10k Aquilas and gave PC players some reskinned blue armour”, and now that I’ve come back after some updates, guess what? Couldn’t buy it if I wanted to. Not sure which marketing knob-head needs to read this, but shop rotations don’t benefit you or your consumers. There’s plenty of cosmetics that have been released in the past I’d likely splurge on to complete some look I want for a specific build, but now? You get nothing.
they should definitely do some overhauls but I don’t think dangling aquilas behind the imperial upgrade full game (after launching to game pass) and delaying the game a full karking year is our issue. The xbox version is even broken atm because of the graphics card the series X uses. They get a delayed game, the broken experience of the delayed game most PC players have at least avoided by now and no mods. I don’t think many feel sweet on that deal right now, if they even took it.
But yeah the shop rotation is still packing tons of repeat stuff on pages. Why. Repeat revisions are only stuff that has been seen since patch 13. A couple vanilla weapons still have no skin (headhunter autogun, lucius lasgun) while others are literally drowning in them (combat knife, revolver, las pistol and shredder for some reason). Etc etc.
You are going to stop complaining and cheer your commie leadership* They literally cannot be wrong. Just LOOK at this product variety on the shop shelves and our happy staff!
Yeah, it’s definitely my least favourite aspect of Darktide, and apart from the lack of Solo, is highest on the list of why I don’t play it as much as I used to play Vermintide 2. I don’t play V2 much anymore because they keep breaking our EAC fixes on Linux, but that’s a different issue.
Darktide isn’t the only one though. There’s plenty of games that are great, but I’ve more or less totally dropped because the limited time nonsense doesn’t encourage me to buy while it’s there, it just makes me feel like you don’t want me to buy at all because it’s not there when I’m ready for it.
