It's good that there is some progress being made, but the fact that it seems like they're going to spend the first month+ on stability

… is really, really clear evidence that this game should’ve been put back into the vat for at least that long.

I don’t mean to imply that the devs aren’t working hard, I’m sure they’re programming their butts off. And I know putting out online games filled with crashes and disconnects is basically the modern standard. I just feel we would all be happier if the game had come out a couple weeks later without so many stability issues and could instead focus on making the game even more fun to play with better gear, crafting, balance, etc.

Right now it just seems that Fatshark is struggling to put out content by trickling weapons, maps, crafting, and balance while also primarily addressing the most pressing issues of game functionality (at least according to Aqshy). As a result, now we have two new beat sticks that probably only a portion of the playerbase will actually get to use thanks to the shop, and it seems like they’re underwhelming anyhow. Also the map is delayed.

It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

And before someone says something about shareholders, I’m also aware that might be a factor in why they chose to release when they did. I’m just choosing to discuss this from the POV of a consumer, because I have no way of knowing exactly what any of Fatsharks higher ups may have said unless that’s divulged to us in an interview or something.
