Could you go to:
\steamapps\common\Warhammer Vermintide 2\binaries
and delete Vermintide2.exe.
Then go to:
\steamapps\common\Warhammer Vermintide 2\binaries_dx12
and delete vermintide2_dx12.exe
Then run the verification tool. I know it’s a similar process, but we want to rule this out.
Tried that just now, Fatshark_hedge. No difference, still get the same error message on launch.

Hope for a quick solution, been waiting for some days now, after a newly bought dlc!
i tried to delete the game 2 times now, i have tried putting binaries into the installers folder, tried swapping the different files out, tried my friends files… legit, nothing works… im giving it a last chance with downloading the files, updating the EAC inside the folders and then launch… and if nothings works…
I feel you, I’ve tried everything I could find and nothing has worked.
EAC have asked us to ask users to run through this as a quick sanity check:

Regarding GIMP and the test:
“One cause of system or game file integrity errors can be system hardware instability.”
It seems very far-fetched that so many users should suddenly experience the same hardware malfunction on the same game, while not having problems previously or with other games. This is a red herring.
We appreciate the dialogue with us here, but there must be some more likely solutions from either Fat Shark or the ani-cheat software provider.
Ok, so I ran the test for about 30 minutes. All tests on all threads passed.
I also agree with apoltorian. It seems most unusual that there are now so many of us experiencing this same issue; it’s highly unlikely that we’ve all suffered some kind of hardware issue.
For myself, my computer is pretty much brand spanking new: I only got it about two weeks ago!
Anyway. The tests all passed - so it wasn’t that issue for me, at least.
Pretty disappointed that this hasn’t managed to be resolved by EAC.
Next question : “Did you try turning your pc off and on again?”… 
Seriously, this issue has been there for 5 days already, somebody needs to get their act together.
We get it, it’s a silly test but it’s part of the process. This is still being looked in to by both parties, ourselves and EAC. Thanks for the help so far.

I JUST bought this last night on steam…was an amazing discount and was excited. However I find myself in the exact problem and have tried all i can to the best of my knowledge…My pc is also brand new and up to date on everything with no issues with other games (warcraft, origin, xbox pc)…so this is weird and im really concerned steam will bs me and not issue a refund, i wish i could be more optimistic…but wouldnt be shocked if they said the problem is on my end and to ‘go through the help forums to find MY error’ …i dont hope that the game is screwed for everyone but at the same time itd be relieving to know its a mass issue instead of an invisible one i cant figure out…gl dude
