The game will be “relaunched” onto console when the port is finished.

Vermintide has garnered a reputation for being “launch-ready” after a year or so of updates. It was true for VT1 and it was true for VT2. If you compare Darktide’s player statistics to VT1 and VT2, you will find that player trends are virtually the same across all three games.

It was true for all the games Fatshark developed before Vermintide.

People have this really misinformed perception of launch statistics, because almost every game will lose around 60-80% of its playerbase after the first month of a game’s launch. That is historically and absolutely true for almost every single game.

Best way this works is Games Workshop pulls the rights and gives it to a studio not owned by Tencent; they go with Tencent, they get the s**t show it comes with

I disagree. A game can slowly over time become more and more irrelevant but keep a certain amount of players and small amounts of support.

You may choose to conflate the meanings of two words, terms or phrases, but that does not mean that they are perceived as synonymous anywhere other than inside your own mind.
