Also doesn’t help that it seems modern pvp games, especially ones that follow 5v5 or 6v6 team comps, force cooperation, and if one player plays poorly, then you’re just going to lose. It’s prolly why I loved TF2 and Darktide, where cooperation is there, but you can still as an individual make an impact on the game state regardless of other players. I can recall the amount of times when I played Dota 2 seven years ago, where I just lose the game because some lad tilted at midlane and just fed so many kills.
Now that i played it, it’s feels slightly underwhelming to me, but i didn’t expect much anyway.
We back again to tax talents when it comes to picking aura and blitzes.
Blitzes really meh, especially personal shield.
Among melee weaponry i like only maul, somewhat ok with elven dagger and sword from VT 2, power sword super inconvenient to use.
Upper left keystone feels much better for claw and ranged ultimates, didn’t try it with electronic wave, though other 2 at least not bad. Keystone situation is better than the one scum had or still had, who got only one really good keystone, one bad and one mediocre, but worse than arbiter who got two great keystones and one bad.
It feels weak, but i didn’t play game for half a year(aside from couple of days trying out expeditions), didn’t go to old classes and i 100% playing worse than i used to, so maybe if return to previous skill level this will change.
It’s merely a difference in the understanding of the game between the two gaming communities. Currently, the Chinese community generally opposes this enhancement of ogrin, but many of Skitarii’s talents cannot effectively interact with his exclusive weapons, such as Garland and the Phosphorus Revolver.
Yes, Mars is a Irradiated, Toxic Wasteland. So everyone tends to have some Radiation on them.
However, Skitarii Vanguard use Rad Weapons that emmit Powerful Radiation (Ground & Air) not only from Shooting. Hence the Skitarii Vanguard are Radiated themselves in such an Amount that standing near them would kill you rather sooner than later, this why they tend to get separated from other Units. Vanguards themselves have Underlayer of Protecion on their Armor so the little bit of Flesh remaining on some isnt exposed as much.
Skitarii Vanuguards are doomed to Die from Radiation Exposure at one point, in the Name the Omnissiah.
If you want something erradictaed that badly send Vanguards, if you wanna still be able to Live after the killing, dont!
Skitari are disappointing.
Their attack power is abysmal, their ability to support allies is abysmal,
their ability to take down key targets is abysmal, and their durability is abysmal.
What’s even more disappointing is that they can’t specialize in any single ability—even at the expense of other aspects—
even if you reduce the damage you deal, you can’t reliably support your allies,
you can’t deal massive damage to powerful enemies,
(Are you talking about Code Claw? I think any Zealot’s weapon can deal that much damage when combined with Shroudfield.)
and you can’t wipe out a large area in one go.
And needless to say, the durability is absolutely terrible!
I’m playing Auric and Havocs with this class, and I’m not facing these issues that you’re describing. Chordclaw, right now, might be the best boss killer in the game, as you can just remove the twins from the game in less than 15 seconds, and you get all the charges back in no time. His weapons are all solid to the point I wish Veteran had the Galvanic rifle.
Granted, we need at least a week or two before we come to a consensus, as we all said the same about Hivescum when it came out, as that class was absurd even with the early game survival issues before they buffed em.
In my opinion Skiitari suffers the same problem as most classes from where his abilities are good, but there’s that one ability that’s just objectively better to take. Chord claw is just the best ability out of the three, The Artificer-Skull with Noosesphere is the better blitz to take as it just serves as a free ammo range weapon, redline capacitors to get your chord claw back.
I am not a PVP lover… but must say that I don’t deny that PVP side of a game adds stress and makes the game more interesting.
Must say that I love Arc Raiders for their system where they put together players with same play style. So if you pvp, you will meet more and more pvper that will want to kill you… and if you get killed a lot and do not kill, then the game will put you with the PVE players… however, you could always have a PVPer that can join… This is what I like, the danger makes sense to the entire game.
About Skitarii (to comment about topic), I did not buy it… Reasons are obvious, my interest for this game vanishes because we cannot play it at our own pace. I do not appreciate to always have to run after players that want to achieve the mission the faster they can… Most of the wipes are because of this…
So, not sure I would buy it… especially when I remember how it is uninteresting to level a character, especially after the changes asked by players… (also I am sure that players will ask to buff this class to a ridiculous level…)
Oh, come on, I feel like I’m getting too fixated on one thing. Didn’t I make it clear? That can’t be the defining feature in the end. Delivering a massive burst of damage in a single strike is something a Zealot’s Hammer can do, and so can an Arbiter or a Veteran with a Bolter. Even the Hammer can unleash that massive burst of damage at any time while still being able to use other Blitz abilities. Delivering a massive burst of damage in just 5 seconds cannot be an advantage in and of itself—it offers no unique selling point, and it comes with the drawback of having to get up close without guaranteed survivability.
Some of the penances are driving me insane. Not a single teammate in the last 7 or so missions has let me use my flame skull on 80 enemies. Just constantly melting everything themselves non stop despite my polite request.
Same with servo skull auspex mini games. Just full of Skitarii running and doing one after the other on the same map, again despite polite request to let me do just one of them.
Other people are the f***ing worst and my blood is boiling.
Thunder hammer is a clunky weapon that performs poorly against armor waves. For the burst damage, you need to run Shroudfield, Martyrdom, and need to hit the weak spot while behind just to kill a boss(which is also clunky). You could just do it better with Fotf dueling sword or run chorus, which is better than both.
An arbitrator needs three talents to even boss effectively, and that setup takes a hot minute, and even then, he’ll just get someone to boss for him as he just cc’s everything to the ground.
Veteran, you’re correct as I main veteran and you can just press f to shout and mag dump a bolter into its head with full focus target stacks.
Skiitari can just press f with the chordclaw and mulch out waves of armor, delete crushers and bosses, and get all of his charges back in a quick amount of time with little to no effort.
Granted his other abilities are great and work fine as right now I’m theory crafting an electro build.
That’s true for Fury of the Faithful, Shroudfield and Infiltrate, Bullrush, and Rampage!(before and after they took out the one downside that made it interesting.) You can easily displace yourself with little to no survival options if you’re not playing carefully.
If there was one, I would have bought the DLC… But considering the players you meet in PUGs, I don’t feel buying it…
At least not until they make a giant sale (like at least -50%). Don’t tell me the DLC price is low, that’s true… but even at this price, I don’t see any interest to take it without a solo game mode option.
I do feel like FS really missed an opportunity with the melee weapons. They could have gone for spears, halberds, scythes etc…but they all feel very samey to other class weapons. Another Paul was the last weapon I’d have chosen for a new class.
