The propaganda that Skitarii need to be buffed is dangerous and must be stopped

All kinds of enemies are indeed tough, yes, but they are manageable with basic skill.:flexed_biceps:

Power is a luxury — it accelerates the lifespan crisis that brings an end to the fun!

Instead of further ruining our Darktide, we must embrace the sensible solutions: stay behind your teammates, dodge and block, and use your ability.:flexed_biceps:

Darktide players do not “need” buffs to play a pay-to-win game.:flexed_biceps:

We must simply accept that sometimes the game is hard (shocking, I know).

A little discomfort is a small price to pay to protect the gameplay experience.:flexed_biceps:

While I can’t yet decide how strong the class is yet it’s just too early it is clear there is nothing broken here unlike every dlc launch so far. This could curb excitement for it which would be understandable but also it’s true when they changed rockets they went too far. I want to let it ride but I feel like the class lacks power. I would personally like some blitz recovery to get power in the form of utility

I agree with the main thrust of your argument, but there may be specific underperforming things on Skitarii that could use buffs without making the overall class stronger. Good examples are the inconsistent targeting of Voltaic Emitter, aimbot ability being somewhat bugged against moving enemies, etc. The strongest stuff is definitely strong, in some cases probably too strong.

Havent tried out the chord claw yet i assume? Not only does it decimate anything in its path, you can also use it all the time.

The arc gun is also broken. While i tried it only on heresy (because still below lvl 20) i used it without any blessing and only lvl15 talents so yeah. If its already this powerful now with barely anything supporting it, i cannot even imagine how broken it’d be in a fully completed build.

Now combine the 2, arc gun + chord…

Perhaps I should have specified non bugged abilities

I mean most blitzes are objectively bad and class has plenty of bugs and jank (like losing momentum on some weapon animations, old issue Ogryn used to have).

Other than that it’s probably the most balanced class in the game so far. Claw is whatever, people are still mad that anti-Crusher and bosses gear exists, as they have never seen Zealot or Vet in the game.

somethings should be buffed somethings should be nerfed…

Oh, you meant that kind of broken…

buffing skitarii is ruining the game:skull::skull::skull:

nerf skitarii immediately or the game will be destroyed

Chord claw and the arc gun are relatively powerful choice for skitariis. But evaluating a class’s strength based on Heresy difficulty doesn’t really mean anything. No offense meant.

Without blessings, or talents.
I imagine it will scale to be either same or more powerful on higher difficulties with more talents and blessings to support it. Not to mention the power level of the weapon itself.

I dunno I did an auric with my buddies arc rifling all game while I had recon lasgun and they killed mostly trash and unmarked enemies while I killed like everything with a name tag. But Foe Render Creed is a more practical buff for Vet than Skitarii for maining a gun with shock trooper. Its mostly the pseudo smite it does that’s offensive.

Huh, guess i’ll have to wait and see for myself… In like a week because leveling…
Ever since the helbore debacle i refuse to take anyone’s word about balance on this forum.

Its definitely dumb for the chain stagger cleave thing it does when you just hold M1. They should have a heat bar on this thing and toss the reload system entirely…just make it so you can’t hold zap zap zap and disable everything.

But I can confirm it isn’t another gunlugger situation where you don’t get to kill much in auric at least…its just annoying for being smite as a gun.

Some powerful blitz and talents mask the other mediocre and poor ones. The claws, laser skull, emp explosion, and arc machine gun are all quite good, but the Garand rifle and automatic aiming are very disappointing. The phosphoreship wheel also lacks any gameplay related to its phosphoreship ignition. I could even say that the shooting talent on the right is completely not suitable for Garland and the Phosphofire revolver.

On the right side of the talent tree, there are a large number of continuous kills providing damage reduction or damage enhancement bonuses. However, due to their limited ammunition capacity, Garand is very difficult to stack these buffs. On the contrary, the arc machine Gun and the Automatic rifle can stack buffs relatively easily with lower ammunition consumption (I know that the Laser skull can also stack buffs related to long-range kills. But if I let him eliminate the enemies that should have been killed by my gun, then why do I still need to build a dedicated long-range bd ? ) The most useful thing is the talent is that starts to reload automatically after stopping firing for 5 seconds. But in fact, this talent has extremely limited benefits for the Garand and Phosphore revolvers built with long-range. This talent is clearly more suitable for long-range structures like the arc machine gun and automaticrifles that have a larger ammunition capacity but a slower reloading process, or for other melee bds where there is no time to reload.

I think those talents synergise with the servo skull though?

Edit: Nevermind, it’s an acknowledged bug although most everyone agrees that this is how it’s supposed to work. Well damn it what is the skull FOR then???

The designer must have considered allowing the las skull to trigger these buffs during the design process. However, since I chose a set of long-range bd and this little guy can handle almost all of enemy gunners and high-threat units, this is really ddisappointed. I still prefer that the right talent tree needs to be optimized to a certain extent for Garand and the Phosphorus Revolver.

far too many do given the demands for making stuff ever easier :man_shrugging:

however so far im liking the class, which is ironic since i absolutely loathe the concept of a talking toaster instead of a buff ogryn

while leveling the class i had some pretty solid clutch moments that gave me an overall feel of how solid skitarius plays if done correctly.

so all the “class squishy” bs is rather proof someone isnt using the talents needed to compensate for “face tanking”, which it as well brings in spades.

i dont use the arc rifle or cord claw while they are “outliers”, again so i can gauge the classes normal potential under pressure situations rather than getting comfortable on the easier options.

i truly hope its not gonna become another arbi/scum rabies, where you instantly deny any skill of its user given how blatantly op both are with little effort and go instantly into pvp mode if you want to get anything done yourself instead of being passive audience.

if anything fatshark should use skitarii’s popularity and make it a balance standard, meaning minus the 2 outliers scale down the other dlc classes to this level and keep it there for as long as the game’s getting new classes.

mechanically it rewards fast movement and playstyle while not feeling cheap, if you fk up you go down.

something that cant be said for the other two classes.

solid in good hands, punishing misplays.

as it should be to begin with for all classes, but i guess they went that way cause skitarii gonna sell no matter what so they can be “bold”

I remember when Hive DLC was released. Steam review bombing full of “squishy” comments. Then FS reworked Toughness Regeneration to Toughness Replenishment.

Now same thing is happening again for Skit class “squishy” steam negative reviews and few about lack of “mobility”. I wonder what FS will do.

Fatshark will buff it…
Anyways:

Balance <> Fatshark

Too late… at least for me.

I play less and less… every time I connect, I play at max 1 mission… if even I finish it.
