I’ve been experiencing error 2014 disconnects recently when playing in Havoc missions. I notice they mostly occur during the final stage of the mission (just before extraction). When this happens, the game does not crash but the mission is aborted for my entire team and we are unable to join back in, so we had to wait for the current mission to somehow end before joining another mission. As you can imagine, it is a bit upsetting having spent so much time to reach a certain point in a difficult mission only to be aborted just like that. I really hope a fix is found soon.
I’m not using any external software that would impact my connectivity nor am I using a mod.
Code 2014, Group of 4 uk Xbox players doing havoc, first attempt was at around 19:30gmt we was around 15 mins into the game when everyone was walking against walls etc and it kicked to character selection with 2014 code. (also game wasn’t smooth all the way through was very choppy for everyone) We tried a number to times get it to work but it lasted moments into getting into combat before kicking to character selection with 2014 code. Left it for abit done 1 level of mortis trials is no issues and was alot smoother. Tried havoc again and as soon as we made contact with enemy’s is crashed with 2014, I then we tried a different havoc mission and it did it again engaged enemy and crashed. Did 2 more mortis trials no issue and called it a night. Have recorded the moments just in case.
New desktop PC, AMD, Nvidia, MSI, Windows 11, Steam, USA East Coast
constant disconnects and crashes, de-sync errors, yesterday fortect found a darktide cashdump and labelled it as malware, didn’t fix the issue, the only fix that I have found is to re-install windows 11, steam, and darktide, then game runs great for several days, then the constant crashing and desync starts again -no mods; funny thing is my old desktop runs darktide without problem and it is windows 10 and does not meet system requirements, any help appreciated
Want to report a constant issue while connecting to fatshark game server. Common error is 4001 but often problems with connections appears while entering (no code, red text marker) And problems appears not only on peak hours but anytime randomly.
Playing on PC (Windows ? Latest version, any latest uploads on demand) Not using any cloud services
Playing from Ukraine, “Kyivstar” provider connection (firm signal,no connection issues known often)

As i wrote the issue is quite frequent and occur not only during specific times. Thje latest connection issue was today 6AM(european server) and its apparently not a peak hour.
Been actively playing since November last year. Never had issues until this past Sunday 1/25/2026. Since Sunday every match I join is extremely laggy and unplayable. It seems normal when theres little to no enemies, but when a big wave comes I start lagging and eventually desync with error 2014. My buddies in my fireteam experience no issues, happens across all my characters.
WTH is going on? The game is unplayable 2 days in a row about these hours. Multiple errors when trying to select characters, horrible lags both on station and in missions, DCs every few minutes. My friend reports the same (lives in the same country, different city). Happening right now again.
Something I’ve discovered something that may be of importance regarding stability.
I have a really clean system with immensely powerful and stable internet and fast rig specs.
I often get crazy lag and rubber banding which leads to floating enemies then disconnection and have to reconnect/rejoin, despite my net connection being really stable at over 1gbps etc.
BUT
If I restart my machine then these issues disappear and stability vastly improves.
For clarity I use a laptop and make it sleep/wake when closing the lid and rarely do a proper restart.
No other applications are affected by anything and my internet is always stable regardless (minimum 1gbps over WiFi) but I started restarting my laptop when rubber banding was bad and it seems to fix it.
If I exit game and restart without restarting my laptop then the connection remains flaky.
So perhaps there is something in the background that is causing this kind of issue and could be worth investigating. It’s only DT that suffers this issue. Other games seem fine.
After Patch 1.10.4, I am no longer able to play this game. Every mission I join results in a desync/disconnect. If I attempt to rejoin, it disconnects again shortly after. Error Code: 2014, or sometimes 2019. Game doesn’t crash, only constant disconnects during missions. Walking around in lobby is completely fine.
Yes I use mods. Yes I have tried disabling them. I have tried verifying game files as well. Nothing works. Please help, Hive Scum is the most fun I’ve had in this game and I would love to continue playing, but as of now the game is literally 100% unplayable.
The issue persists despite all claimed “improvements” it happens on daily basis as of now, always about same time (EU evening prime times) and lasts for several hours, making the game unplayable. On weekends it’s even worse. When it starts it’s tons of errors at every step of the usual flow (character selection, spinning for a match, during the match), horrible lags (now it happens even on station, what wasn’t the case before), desyncs and DCs, multiple times in a row (if you reconnect you get desyncs and is DCed again). Then after a few hours like that it just goes away. So 100% load related, server-side issue.
I’m attaching another log one last time, but at this point I’m pretty sure it’s pointless, and it’s probably all comes down to FS inflating their current userbase again via Steam sales - while cutting infrastructure budget to the bone. So nothing will change, most likely their servers can’t handle peak loads and they aren’t willing to pay for better ones. If they wanted it changed, they had half a year for that, with tons of logs and user reports on their hands.
Is this on purpose and you tried using Hamachi as a VPN to work around the issue? Because this opens a question, does the console log shows the adapters in order by priority? If so that might be a problem!
Can you confirm that your Realtek adapter interface metric is set up in a way that it takes priority over other adapters?

This doesn’t happen in my networkwise super stable game that pretty much never disconnects
This happens rarely, but if it starts happening, enemies start “moon walking”, “walking in the air” and behaving like my game client no longer knows the server game “state”. This looks very similarly to what would happen in Vermintide 2 when the server crashed, only in Darktide the issue can clearly affect only one client, and everyone else in the same game can be fine. Eventually I get disconnected from the session with 2014 error. Yes I do use mods, from UI to scoreboard mods. My average ping to the Darktide servers tends to be under 60 ms. I’m not based in Russia, I don’t I play over VPN, nor I use any other tools which could affect latency or network connection quality.
Reconnecting allows you to continue the game, but usually the issue persist during that game session and often in the following games
. The last game in the following console log might have some clues.
It’s just remnants of previously installed Hamachi, I haven’t used it in ages. I don’t see how it’s relevant, but I reiterate:
No other online games have issues like that when I play them
Issue always manifests in the same way: desyncs (“rubberbanding”), DCs
Issues only manifests itself on certain hours coinciding with EU peak online times (usually for about 2-3 hours)
Issue was 10 times worse during HS release coinciding with few days of free access (game was completely unplayable during that period for me and a bunch of other people I know during the EU evenings, for like 5+ hrs straight, every day of that period)
Items 3 and 4 clearly point out towards their infrastructure being the bottleneck. If item 3 alone could be explained by my ISP having traffic spikes at the same hours, item 4 proves it’s FS servers issue (most likely explained by huge influx of players, both returning and those trying the game for free during that period). Many people I know who observe it live in different countries, to boot.
It’s all over Helldivers 2 story again, from a few months back, when everybody was convincing you it’s your PC or internet yada yada, made you waste a lot of time on applying “solutions” solving nothing; with Arrowhead staying silent and distant; with a lot of people lucky to not have those issues calling you names and defending the developers. Nope, happened to be completely Arrowhead’s fault, their crap was broken to the core, they had to apply tons of patches to get rid of technical debt and make their game playable again for all the people having issues. Just took people to ruin their rating on Steam for them to finally acknowledge the problem and start fixing it.
I manage to login, join the ship and play 1 game, players eventualy join without any issues. Right after the post game screen with rewards, the cutscene starts. After 2 to 3 seconds of cutscene, I get kicked and get Error 3013. It’s the same if I skip the cutscene, I then get kicked mid loading screen to the character selection screen.
I am then stuck on character screen, getting constantly kicked out via Error 3013, no matter which character I choose.
It usualy takes 10 to 15min for me to be able to rejoin.
Which platform are you playing on, and are you using a Cloud service (such as GeForce Now)?
PC, no cloud service.
Which country are you playing from, and what’s the name of your internet service provider (ISP)?
Playing from Portugal, with MEO provider.
How are you connected to the internet (e.g. wired, Wi-Fi, using a booster, etc.)?
Etherner wired is my go to. I tried via wifi, same issues.
Is this a consistent issue, or does it occur during specific times (such as peak hours)?
Consistent, since I bought the game 10days ago. I could never get to play 2 games in a row without being kicked in the middle.
Have started getting rubberbanding a couple of times per mission in basically every mission, and sometimes even at hub.

No crashes or disconnects at least, but a lot can happen in ~3 seconds of lag if they’re the wrong 3 seconds, and it’s really been impacting the playability of the game.
