Dog still crashes the server in havoc btw, probably the cause of a lot of these mission abortions.

There seems to be a difference between normal gameplay (Auric) and Havoc regarding crashes.
I just completed the temporary event for the Plasma Captain penance, played on Auric and experienced no crashes at all, spread over 6-7 games.
I started one Havoc at 30, thinking it might be solved but crashed again in the middle of it, just like 2 crashes yesterday (see earlier post above).

Dog is a common cause in havoc but not the only cause ofc.

Here’s the cause in your case:

Tried Havoc again, this time with all mods disabled.
Just the same problem, halfway the game, it crashed to the character screen.
It’s the second time when people died, the crash occurred. Don’t know about the first 2 crashes from yesterday, but today both crashes had people involved who just died or were on the verge of dying..

Couldn’t play a whole minute in Havoc without stuttering and crashing with a server disconnect and 2014 error.
Disabling mods didn’t change anything.

Since the new update, I’ve been encountering error 2014 more and more often, whereas it happened very rarely before “Bond By Duty.” It starts with lag during the game (rubberbanding, lag in recording shots with ranged weapons, and when it gets worse, they aren’t recorded at all) and then disconnects the entire party. The issue is becoming very annoying because in HAVOC, party disconnections are counted as lost matches, and since it has happened more than five times, it is frustrating.

The disconnection always occurs late in the game, but the first signs of a potential crash (unregistered hits and rubberbanding) slowly worsen during the match, starting from being non-existent until the server decides to cut the connection.

It might be useful to provide the player with a way to obtain the unique seed of the game (if it exists) in order to narrow down the scope of crash analysis.

Ffs, Fatshark… Right in the middle of super-intriguing game session. You do understand that kills any will to play your already struggling game whatsoever?

I play on Steam via wifi/mobile hotspot (my hotspot works better than my internet) on the US-WEST servers.

The error codes I primarily have are 2001, 2004, & 2014 which plague my entire gaming experience. I cannot go a single mission/activity without being kicked back to the character selection screen at least five times a session, the most was twelve times. This makes completing certain penances and/or achievements impossible and playing the game a mentally draining experience.

I play Vermintide 2 with the same internet connection with not even a quarter of the issues, are there any “quick fixes" for this issue?

Same here (Mission Aborted).

  • Was barely playable Tuesday, more than half the Havoc games crashed for the entire team.
  • Tonight was much better, but we still had a full game crash at the end of the night, one out of ~8 games.

Just adding my voice to the others, letting FS know these server full crashes are still around.
Definitely related to the update, the servers were much more stable this summer prior to it.

I’ve got many of those full games crashes in less than a week now.

From playing today, I got 1 Out of Memory error and 2 Mission Aborted errors (in that order)

Out of Memory error

I just finished a Havoc 1 mission (my very first one ever) and I tried to inspect my character. My game freezes, and I get a little window that said “Fatal Error! Out of memory. Please close all background applications and try again.” Even though I already had all background applications closed. I couldn’t close this little window and I had to End Task in task manager to get the game to close.

Mission Aborted errors

Both of these happened while I was playing Havoc (trying to do Havoc 2). We had completed about 75-80% of the mission and it just kicked us all out. Nothing even crazy was happening in-game either. We were just running around or just doing normal objective things. I didn’t catch which error codes they were, but I’m sure they’re in the console_logs. I couldn’t restart or continue either of these missions it made me abandon, so I had to lose 1 attempt both times this happened.

  • ASUS Prime B550-PLUS

  • Bought the game on Steam
  • I was playing with a ethernet plugged into my PC, I guarantee it’s not an internet issue on my end
  • I play with medium graphical settings, no ragdoll interaction, etc, to get better performance. I normally get about 75-80 on a good day (this game is not optimized very well to begin with.) I basically followed this video guide with a few minor differences.
  • While this game still get better performance than Helldivers 2 (they’re both Autodesk Stingray) there is still major room for improvement in both games.

Another day, another crash in Havoc.
I did crash once yesterday as Psyker in a Maelstrom mission but it seems normal gameplay has way less crashes compared to Havoc.
Last crash in Havoc, similar to previous ones, kicked party to character screen.
Counts as a loss, each time it happens.
Like above someone said, it always happens in the middle or even near the end and these crashes only occur since recently, game was much more stable before as crashes were not frequent in Havoc.

Error 2014, the game crashes with an unexpected error. With or without mods, the error appears. I play from the steam library. Over the wired Internet. The situation occurred on 09/27/2025 and also on 09/28

I’ve played darktide with the same ISP since the beta pre-release.

No issues, until FS touches something with a given patch, then months of pain, and then they fixed with another patch. At this point I’m not even sure they knew what they did to fix it.

It already happened and after months of pain the issue disappeared. No changes on the ISP side, only Fatshark being fatshark.

Arbites being released: amazing games, until 1 or 2 patches later and it all went to s***

You have the full team DC/server crash often caused by the dog (mission aborted, not connection related) confused with the single person DC issue that allows a reconnect (likely connection related).

Same error codes sometimes but different problems.

Fatshark’s netcode is the worst of the worst and it looks like it’s very intolerant of less stable connections since the patch you mentioned.

All of the servers just seem to be getting more and more unstable lately. Originally I had attributed it to my wifi just making it unplayable but having way less bad experiences in VT2 and basically every other horde shooter/chopper it’s definitely a FS problem.

Same here. Getting all kinda server connection/network errors almost all 2000 series errors, 2002, 2014, 1011, 3013 and 9999
