Infinite load screen when buying aquilas

When I open the in-game cosmetic store and go to purchase aquilas, after clicking an aquila bundle, I get an infinite loading screen “Communicating with Fatshark store”. I’m on PC, Steam platform, North America East server, and have tried it with mods disabled.

Steps to Reproduce (Required):

  1. Go to in-game cosmetic store.
  2. Click to buy aquilas.
  3. Click an aquila bundle. (In my case, I choose the 7000 points bundle.)
  4. You will get a message “Communicating with Fatshark store” but it just hangs there.

Yes, and I’ve tried disabling them

try disabling Steam Overlay

I already have Steam overlay disabled.

I’m pretty sure the issue is that you need steam overlay enabled to be able to make an aquila purchase

There are also two different places it can be disabled iirc. One is global and the other is game-specific?

Anyway, needs to be enabled in both.

This. Most games will open a separate steam window if the overlay doesn’t work. Darktide is the exception

Thanks, enabling the overlay fixed the issue.

There should probably be an error message for this case, because it looked like a server issue rather than a Steam issue.
