I just installed Warframe today and I immediately noticed they have exactly that in their accessibility settings

i never had issues with my hands, but don’t want to strain my mouse buttons. i never clicked in a shooter as much as in darktide. holding down a button to fire semi-auto or do light melee attacks should be baseline.
oh well, and lasers having recoil, whatever.
