Inability to address player concerns

Yes, exactly!

I’ve been repeatedly baffled by their dev blogs. I have honestly wondered whether it were attemps to gaslight us, miscommunications / lack of communication between game devs and PR, or straight up false judgements about how their own game functions.

Remember the dev blog about how the original Sister of the Thorn was touted as “low damage, but support”? Or the one about their crafting system saying they want to reduce RNG? Seriously, even Kafka couldn’t have come up with a more bizarre discongruence…

“Low damage, but support” XD rofl… good old times, same old fatshark. Thanks for reminding me of this gem.

I think it might be that they are “time optimists”. Doesn’t excuse their lack of communication or their dev blogs being misleading though. And…

…it might just be that they aren’t too savvy about how their own game works, which I find very interesting.

I played 764 hrs in Vermintid 2, and Im already kinda bored with this.

Why?
Level design. While pretty and great, we need WAY more levels, and prefearably random mixing of them to a much greater extend. The Zone modifiers are fine in my book.
Shops. Dismal! at least refresh every 15-20 min- or ensure the always have at least 1 of the class specific weapons.
Cosmetics. Mony maker eh? well fine, but why cycle it? naa nvm I dont give a gak.
+++ CUSTEMISATION OF WEAPONS! +++
This… I cant stress enough how dissatisfactory it is. Once you hit 30 theres “litterally no reason to play on” - and I want to be able to fit a RED DOT on a flamer if I so please… Look at NECROMUNDA - they did a bloody awesome job of making EVERY gun custemisable, while still mannaging to feel very Warhammer.
I played 65 hrs since release, but once I finish the 2 other classes lvl, I dont see any incentive to keep playing. is 130 hrs good for a game? yea sure, but not compared to 764 hrs.

Oh and I still get random disconnects and crashes,

I would pay big bucks for a Back to Ubersreik DLC for Darktide. Lore be damned.

and maybe a DLC for on-the-fly character swapping without the huge load screens?

Once you understand that very few devs (or staff in general) at Fatshark can play their own game above Champion / Uprising difficulty, stuff like this starts to make sense.

You know how when you’re in the class menu in Vermintide 2 to choose what to play, how it has a little video showcasing the class gameplay in the top right?

I urge you to go back and pay attention to those videos. Especially Shade. Fatshark doesn’t know how to play their own games lol. This is apparent in trailers as well. It’s shocking that the theorycrafting and balance in their games even function as well as they currently do…
