Improved performance after last patch

I found that my game is running far far more stable since this last patch. I cap my FSP to 60 and the game regularly fluctuates from 60 to the 40s while walking or there being a minimum amount of enemies. When there was a lot of action going on id go into 30 or even 20s.
For reference, here is a quick rundown of the settings I use-

  • All visuals- Low
  • Resolution 2k, 2560x1440
  • FSR 2.0
  • Ragdoll and all other sliders- minimum

Since the update I got into real heavy fights and my fps never dipped under 40. Only option I modified before jumping online was the new mesh quality slider to minimum. Would mesh quality really explain such a huge gain in performance or is it possible the patch fixed something else, like ray tracing?

Raytracing was never enabled by accident, those were just a bunch of delusionals with placebo. Yes, there is a tiny increase in performance, more so stable frames from this patch. What you are experiencing is the lod slider tho. You were able to change this via config before and it gave a massive boost to performance. Just that everything looks like it has 10 polygons now.
