The quality and content of the game are a distant second to the cash shop. They even charged you full price for an incomplete game! They DGAF about whether you want more free cosmetics as they’re in the sh*t financially and neeed cash in the bank after delaying for a year.
And we’re still nowhere near close to discussing servers being… sketchy,… hit reg being off quite often, enemies not swapping to melee when you’re close enough, weapon balance being f*cked, tweaks to toughness mechanic, dodging taking stamina being a huge problem when trying to save someone downed in a horde and so on. The actual game isn’t even being discussed as FS are too busy putting out fires they start themselves.~ See people having siezures after releasing the staff VFX update.
Cash shop will always be king. They don’t care. They’ve got no choice if the player count is plummeting to try and keep the money rolling in for this… “Live Service” game.
(Last content drop was a farce btw. No map, No conditions, weapons no-one wanted etc)
Expect classes, maps, weapon skins, homeworld colours, and possible even voice callouts being charged for. You want “For the Emperor!” to ba a callout when you press B? Three quid please.
Go back to Vermintide 2, at least it’s had time to be polished. Or wait and hope that this live service is still live in 2 years when they might’ve figured out what the hell they’re up to.
