Now is the time. $5.85 is tough to pass up.
I got everyone to buy it (4). They played all maps on Recruit and then stopped playing.
Me of course already a battle scarred Veteran playing Legend (because Cata wasn’t out yet)

Filthy casuals!
Well the other problem when you introduce friends to the game is when you have to discuss the infrastructure.
I’m hesitant to introduce people to the game, it’s fun as all hell but damn if it isn’t also mind-numbingly frustrating at times. Last person I got into it started trying to learn more and ask more about the different mechanics, increasingly saying “wtf why would the developers do that?!”
I know it seems like a small thing, but eliminating the power level stuff from the player point of view would be a nice feature. That’s fine that Fatshark uses it to balance their combat system but its not a good feature for player interaction. Because its really confusing with you’re new and then its super irrelevant once you get to 300. So just make all the whites 5, greens 100, blues 200, orange/red 300 and stop making players level the stupid things.
