it would be interesting to have the typical admech logos character personality where he or she is either very creepy and alien like or just angry at everything and swears in binary whenever he or she gets made fun of by the rejects and labels every atrocious/horrifying thing as “logic” to justify it, and is just itching to turn everyone they dont like into servitors out of spite
and it would be pretty cool to have a extremely kind hearted pathos admech personality like lets say someone who has heavy augmentation like a mechanical spider or mantis and sort of brags about her size being a big mechanical mantis or spider, or some admech engiseer who brags of his past of leading or working with skitarii, and the fem pathos is open to reading a bedtime story [probably in binary] to the ogryns, or to some of em rejects or arbites [since m/f authoritarian wants to socialize with everyone] like a mother, and the male pathos trying to do pr saving by telling the other rejects that the admech ain’t that bad only to get flabbergasted by a loose cannon or anarchist ganger saying “nuh uh I saw what thay’ve done to people” and either one reveals her or his secrets to the savant psykers of having emotional core augmentations to enhance their emotions and can read body language better and genually care for organics and ordinary people, and express their frustrations of why they’re despised by other admech because they believe pity and respect are core componets of what makes a revering and impacting individual
or some admech ethos personality who’s a straight up scientist, maybe a xenarite who tries to pretend he or she isn’t being watched at all times for being a bit too innovative, tries to beg hadron to have clearance to the mourningstar’s data and absolutely can’t stand the angry logos admech on who’s really more logical to the point they want to tear eachother’s metal necks out [kind of akin to the cutthroat or loner being mostly angry at everyone]
and imagine the ethos personality being the least augmented of the bunch, the logos being quite augmented, and the pathos being extremely augmented like nothing organic outside of the brain and nervous system along with synthetic organs, etc, would be pretty cool eh?
I like the ideas you have for the hypothetical Tech-Priest personalities. Top notch stuff, would love to see them in game.
My ideas are a bit more standard.
The Archetype: The Enginseer. The average Cog who keeps the machines of the Imperium running. The most humane of the personalities, yet a bit disconnected due to Cult Mechanicus dogma. I’m thinking of Felicia Tayber from the Ciaphas Cain books, or Faustinius from Mechanicus, or Abel and Opticon-22 from Rogue Trader.
The Caricature: The Lex Mechanic. They have undergone the Rite of Pure Thought and as a result are very literal minded and almost robotic. I see them being more a springboard for the rest of the classes to banter on.
The Cynic: The Reclaimator. Having dealt with the underworld of the lower Hive and the disparaging attitudes of higher status Magos has left them with a chip on their shoulder. Very sarcastic. It would be funny if they went full “Mean Girls “ with the Loner Psyker. I’m thinking Scaevola from Mechanicus or Gregory House from House M.D.
And a popular idea for a fourth personality would be one that speaks purely in Binharic. The Psykers would understand them, and the Ogryn for comedy.
One of the personalities should be the AdMech from the End and The Death books. Can’t remember the name now but the interactions between the admech and the others made me actually lol at points. I remember thinking how fitting it would be for DT.
I do like the AdMech Comms that are already in the game. The Welsh sounding voice goes surprisingly well
I want a personality like Kayex. Very ancient/damaged that can barely talk like a normal person and gets stubled upon their own thoughts. That would be hilarious.
I’d love a Personality where they’re just a flustered and optimistic boyfailure/girlfailure à la Waterboy from Dispatch. A Tech-Adept who’s relatively young and inexperienced, perhaps.
Other Player: “Ugh! Where’d that oil puddle come from? I almost slipped on it!”
Admech Player: “S-sorry! I… leak oil w-when I’m… n-nervous…”
When they kill a Monstrosity, one of their replies to the other Player who comments on their Monstrosity kill would be “By the Omnissiah… I’m… I’m helping!”

Grumpy “old-man” like the archmagos in SM2, full-on swear words in binary with auto-beeping when they do it. Lot’s of beeps, sounds like a lizard when “calm”, otherwise is very “by the book”, “too good to be here”.
Sassy/Heretech-like hypocrite, it’s often too fascinated by the moebians and the cult structures and creations, in a naive-indiana jones sort of way, while trying to gaslight everyone he’s doing it “for science”, kind of scaredy-cat and paranoid when his overconfidence is shattered.
Crook/Nihilist, was made into a mechanicus either against his will or by itself, but was rejected by the mechanicus and instead is a “tech-support guy” on the hive, doing all kinds of side-jobs in a crook/scum sort of way, reacts to pain with a creepy cackling, pessimist/realist/loner like.
OOH sounds bonkers, the miscrafted sounds like a more cold and more exotic version of the ethos personality, someone finds it necessary to augment and take risks but also are unstable.
sounds pretty good, the grumpy old bloke personality sounds fitting for a engiseer who feels better to be assigned to repair machinery than be with a bunch of random crackheads, and the funny heretech hypocrite sounds bonkers.
