What would be your ideas for potential personality ideas or options if we get a Mechanicus class? [based on the modes of persuasion]

like imagine we get Tech-Adepts who want to prove themselves worthy of the Mechanicus or willing to aid the Mourningstar by fighting on Tertium’s frontlines and augment themselves accordingly to adopt to the siuation, from looking like a lightly augmented human to something identical to a tech priest or even more exotic from augmentations, like a spider or mantis or crab, etc, depends if FatShark is willing to go crazy with having non bipedal body designs for cosmetics or abillity tree traits if we were to get the class

and I for one think it would be extremely cool to get personalities based on the modes of persuasion, ethos, pathos, and logos:

-
Logos: the more cruel and spiteful type akin to the arbites maul, the typical mechanicus personality of despising organics and more devoid of any other type of emotions, and showing a tiny bit of more respect to the arbites for being more logical to handle the situation of tertium but doesn’t show that much respect to them due to being organics, and see rising through the ranks quite easy as they believe they are more logical than anyone else.

Pathos: the more emotional and kind or maternal type, kind of similar to the savant psyker, those who didn’t remove/restrict their emotions by their augmentations, and believe they’re outcasts from the Mechanicus for being too empathetic, especially towards organics, or not living up to the admech’s standards, and they view the rejects akin to a worried mother or a upbeat father having to deal with a bunch of jolly/unstable crackheads for children.

Ethos: a more jack of all trades, not too emotional, or spiteful or devoid personality, quite akin to what the arbites fatalist is like, they have to focus on trying to fix the outbreak of the blight on tertium and joined the mourningstar to show they can be worthy of rising through the ranks of the mechanicus into higher tech priesthood, and are willing to take any necessary steps to achieve it, even if it means to be as devoid or rational in their actions to see these goals achieved.

I would think having the 3 personalities be “themed” around the outlook of the different major Forgeworlds:

  • Mars:
    • Faithfull to the Omnissiah
    • Revere the technology
    • More neutral of the 3
  • Metalica:
    • Dour
    • Consider non-Admech to be only worth for Servitorisation
    • Seek more augments
  • Ryza:
    • More eclectic one
    • Sneer at the basic technology they’re given access too
    • Would be killed if their secrets came to light

Something like that (with the different “Forgeworld origin” being avoided by having the Admech be part of Hive’s Technica Guilds, subservient to outside Admech control, as can be seen with Metalfab having Metalica’s symbol and Mars’)

I think it’d be funny if one of them was Servitor. Functionally the same, but they say very little. Possibly have a unique customization option like the Cadian eye color thing, except it’s stuff like having wires coming out of their ears and all that.

Regardless of what Personalities we get, I really wish that one of them will be voiced by Tim Bentnick.

I like the ideas in this thread, tho my hope would be that one would not be praising the Omnissiah all the effing time. Be more of a borderline . . . GASP . . . scientist who actually thinks. Yes, it’s tech heresy, so he hides it. Pays lip service to the Omnissiah.

I just don’t like hearing everyone praising things religiously all the time. It’s common in the setting, and a lot of classes do it a lot, especially zealots.
