I really hate the random mission board. I’ve played enough that at this point I mostly have fun doing modifiers and it sucks having my ability to do them restricted by the RNG of the mission board. If I want to run nothing but Hi-Intensity Heresy runs or Damnation Specialists runs or any other combination, I should just be able to choose those modifiers and start a game. Locking gameplay behind RNG timers is just awful.
I’d love to be able to filter certain modifiers out of the QP queue.
That’s a crap take.
Edit: And aren’t aurics always High Intensity?
Quality feedback.
I use QP because queueing for a specific mission is an exercise in futility. I queue dodge vent purge and dogs because they’re c4ncer. Let me just queue for the modes I want to play and everyone wins.
You want the additional rewards of quickplay without the additional risk?
Where’d you get that from? Vent purge and dogs are easy mode, they’re just a tedious chore to play.
QP had actual rewards in VT2 so let’s not compare. With the state of lobbies on 2 boards and between updates some better filters would be nice. Just make them disabled by default so the matchmaking at large stays the same, and the informed bothered by clutter join in wastes like a low intensity dogs you didn’t even see on the mission board don’t have to experience that.
Ah yes my bountiful cough 10% more plasteel cough

I don’t even touch quickplay because it keeps spamming me those idiotic mods. 10% plasteel reward surely isn’t that “additional” reward either that would make me care about it.
Make it more like 50 -100% increase and then we can talk.
Hmm… maybe switch to Auric? that’s exactly the reason of Auric board.
I always use QP, cause I like to change of mission. However, power supply is the missions I really don’t like…
I agree that a filter would not be difficult to put…
Uh, derp. The risk of getting a mode or map you didn’t want. Or, especially as a single player, being thrust into a situation you didn’t want with team members you didn’t want. These are all risks beyond the simple risk of difficulty.
If you don’t care for it then why do you give a s**t about quickplay to begin with? Just queue up for the mission with the most appealing modifier instead of leaving things to chance and then whining about it.
Sadly, yes. I’d love to have more choices there, but apparently the only difficulty Fatshark could think of is “more of everything”.
The only Auric I dare play is Maelstrom.
That said, I can understand players queuing for Quickplay mostly to get faster games.
When I’m up late and trying to get a game at 2 AM outside of a weekend (it happens once or twice a month), I dare not click anything else so I get that game before it gets even later.
I didn’t whine about anything though. I just pointed out that the current QP rewards are pretty pathetic for you to get so high and mighty about getting “additional rewards with no risk”. I don’t have much of a horse in this race I just thought your comment was really funny in the context of what the actual reward is.
Its really not. All @Tzcheese is asking for is consistency in the QP experience.
Hi-intensity/Low-intensity have such high variance they could be considered different difficulties, just like auric.
Whether I use QP or choose a specific mission doesn’t change the fact that I get rando teammates, and outside of specific types of teammate, I don’t care what my team is like. The closer to a wipe they are when I join, the happier I am. The difference is in how fast I get into a mission.
This game has so many ways to waste our time that after 900 hours I don’t have the patience to play through modes that just aren’t any kind of fun.
It’s a pity we can’t create custom games. The really fun 80k Maelstrom runs are extremely rare too.
i´m a simple guy, i just wanna I II V E G all day with the odd C I VI to spice things up.
(yes i´m a aware of “many more tries” but to get many more i´d have to get a first and those usually don´t show up for days for some odd reason/crappy shifts)
And let’s be honest… a team change your experience… how much time I cover someone, get in the danger to help, and finish on floor cause the guy has left me uncovered right after he as out of trouble…
But, I begin to understand that you have to play selfish… at least when the team is not really a team but 3 players playing in same instancewith you.
When you find a true team…the mission can become so pleasant…
