While I’m all about expanding player choice and body styles, I feel compelled to comment on the art here.
The Repentia image is a piece of commission work by an independent artist name Cenk Acan, that is NOT a Games Workshop artistic representation of Repentia. It’s highly embellished fanservice piece.
The actual GW Repentia art it’s based on from 3rd edition has a much different vibe.
This is a lot more body horror, with far fewer curves or unblemished skin, and are much closer to the game’s current appearance offerings than the commissioned art piece is.
Y’all are turned on by “voluptuous wenches” whilst I’m turned on by Greco-Roman aesthetics.
… And cellulite. I won’t elaborate further.
The Ultramar Auxilia, Ultramar’s PDF, look pretty sexy. Hopefully we get something in Darktide that follows the same kind of Greco-Roman aesthetic outside of Arbitrator’s Officer and Proctor-Exactant sets.
Maybe have it show a little bit of muscle, if you get me…
You mean the people who were originally too arrogant to see us as their equals, and then after being absorbed into our empire, clung desperately to Roman identity like it was their thunder buddy? Yeah, we put their asses on fraud watch! Fake demons!
Those aren’t even muscles but mostly encapsulated homemade Synthol oil that he injected into his arms for many years. If you’re interested in the whole body horror story, here’s a video about it by a professional surgeon: The Brazilian Popeye Died at 55… Here’s Why.
But I didn’t want to spoil the fun here. Your comment just reminded me of him.
while the “real athletes” suffer early from cardiovascular and organ growth/tumor issues (mainly heart as for growth being deadly) abusing steroids, hgh and insulin.
synthol has the nasty habit of cutting off oxygen flow to tissue areas, resulting in necrosis, sepsis and
the former at least looks the part being muscle mass, synthol is just out of proportion oil lumps.
