I think the Skitarii’s Power Sword is currently underwhelming. It has a very complex moveset ,but its damage not very high, dont deserve such complex moveset. also it have only 2 dogecount and very low movespeed. when compared them to other Skitarii melee weapons, it’s not very practical to use. for example Power Falchion is better than it on all aspect, it have simple moveset and higher damage. sorry for my bad english ,since I am chinese not a native english speaker. what is your opinion? please be kind and gentle, welcome all opinion

It is one of the few balanced & fun weapons in the game.
Fatshark just needs to have its stats working and that’s it.
At the very least they should remove slow down on piercing powered attack…

It just should have the same mobility as the arc maul. I think fatshark is scared of power swords because of vet’s power sword being too strong since basically launch. So they kind of preemptively nerfed the mechanicus power sword while giving us shivs v2 in the transonic blades.

I think it’s damage seems pretty high… but it’s moveset is annoying and it’s range seems buggy. At first it felt like a large cannonball… but it seems like some of that was fixed.
But imagine using a 32 pound cannon ball as a weapon. Big, slow, no reach, but hard hitting if you land it. Only you don’t land it, you die, because slow and no reach < small damage but fast and agile and long.
The “Richard Sharpe” sword cope. “It was a shitty as fk weapon no one would use unless they were tarded… but in the hands of a strong man, it would do TERRIBLE DAMAGE.” While all the guys who knew what they were doing used lighter weapons that could actually get there, AND defend… not just giant choppers for untrained cannon fodder.

But it IS a bad moveset and needs work and shouldn’t be so slow to come out… and they need to keep working on the range related bugs.

It has three dodges when it’s fully empowered. Maybe give your opinion on the sword after you finish its mastery, my own opinion changed completely.
It has very fast poking light attacks that can be empowered to stun enemies like ragers. It has great headshot damage allowing you to quickly one or two-tap most light elites. It has the same light-heavy-repeat horde clear as a million other weapons. The only real weakness of the weapon is its slow killing against Crushers/Maulers. And apparently that’s because the special attack doesn’t gain any benefit from the weapon stats other than Power Output? If that’s a bug they should fix that, and then we’ll see how the sword does.
The moveset is really great. I believe the powered attacks are bugged ATM but other than that the sword is fine. It requires a little more skill than many other weapons and it needs to stay that way
I was just watching this vid and thought I’d share since relevant. With how it’s built in this it actually appears pretty strong.
the ONLY power sword that needs something done is vet’s Scandar Mk3. its like the ironhelm thunderhammer of power swords (which isn’t so bad since power swords are playing with power, Nintendo Power) but still why. vet already has 3 shovels and 1 of them is terrible.

Feel like Its strength doesn’t seem to warrent such a terrible mobility tbh, it’s really hard pop off with it alone unlike FGS, Relic or Vet’s power sword.
Even in the vid above, most of his kill come from Chordclaw swipe more than anything. Probably should have use Voltaic Emitter instead if he really want to showcase the PS.
