Always a pleasure to read eloquently delivered clever arguments by adults such as this.

You could write down the reasons why you think the current “crafting” is beneficial to the game instead of insulting users with a different opinion than your own. Crazy idea I know…
This is why I make full use of ignore option on profiles. Don’t bother feeding little trolls. The kind of people in real life they wouldn’t speak that way to people as they would get slapped into the ground.
Don’t remind me… It’s easy to forget we’re dealing with the 80%s…
Yeah… Another one… Go figure, yeah? Must be a common issue… But naaaaah, can’t be that! So… ummm… mass hysteria? Yes! That must be it! Certainly, it’s not DT! It’s the players that are wrong!
Straw man fallacy. If you want to argue with people in good faith you want to steel man them. It makes it that much sweeter when you can defeat them despite it >:)
Kind of like here with you, but it’s a simple fallacy so not much effort needed for this one.
I didn’t realize this would go off like this. But I wanted to clarify on what I was going for regarding the weapons. I just like to theory craft and spent about 2 weeks trying to get a 365 rated weapons.
I’ve tried tons of Blazing Spirit builds with both Void and Trauma, Deimos and Illisi. They all fell far short no matter what I tried. That’s not to say it couldn’t work ofc I’m not perfect and might have missed something. And even if I didn’t, there’s taste and preference too so maybe you’d love it.
But +crit dmg as a whole is rarely ever worth it imo. Due to the way the game calculates those things it’s more likely to be around +5-7% dmg and unlikely to meet a single breakpoint. For example I had those same perks locked on my Surge staff, until recently crafting another one instead with +25% unyielding & maniac, and the latter one is just heaps stronger against those two while I’m feeling no difference at all against anything else. Granted I didn’t actually test the differences in grinder to get real numbers, but it was plainly obvious in the many missions I ran how much better the new staff was.
Btw I also wanna add that today after 1.2 years playing this game I finally got Man-Stopper and wanted to get a shotty with No Respite to pair it with. Over 1.5 million credits later and down to my last 100k, I’ve yet to land a single one with that blessing, or perks that weren’t literally useless. What makes it even better is I’m using the Buy Until Rating mod to automatically sell anything below 360 base score, and I kid you not every single one of the dozens of shotties that remained heavily sacrificed ammo, dmg or stopping power instead of literally any other stat. I mean like, 1-2 of those three primary stats were well below 70 on almost all of them.
Yeah and there is nothing wrong with that, but due to how this game calculates crit damage stat its probably not the 10% damage increase you are imagining.
To use an example used here before, if normal hit is 100 and crit hit is is 120, it would multiply that 20 by 10% instead of the entire 120 hit.
You generally get always more value by using some other 25 % damage increase or even 10% elite or something.
Crit damage isn’t much more crit damage, but crit chance is still pretty good, especially if your crits proc other stuff.
And what we’ve heard is they want to marry the locks and take the locks home to met the family. They LOVE the locks. The locks are the only things keeping the game afloat.
Saying you don’t think that’s a good idea isn’t well received, or responded to…
500 or so people in @brosgw growing list are also wondering the same.
There was a random comment about this not being the final state for crafting or something, in some distant past post i’m too lazy to search for right now, but its been like yelling in space for a good long while now.
Mctoozle! Here you are! Wouldn’t be the same without you!
How’s crying on the forums? Well, since you asked - It’s quality time spent on DT without actually spending time playing DT. Somehow, it feels less wasted here than actually playing the game…
How you been? Found any reasons why the crafting in DT is even remotely tolerable since the last time we did this? Do share!
Sincerely, I smiled seeing your post. Right on time, like clockwork! This is becoming more of a hobby than the game itself…
Hey, sorry I didn’t see this before, but void is massively inferior to trauma in most respects. That said, it’s not immedately obvious why.
First, Truama is most certainly closer range, and if you want to snipe, void has it beat. But if you want to blow things up, Trauma is the better pick.
However, warp flurry is vital on Trauma. When you have a lot of killing to do, the first thing you want to do is to pop off a couple micro charged hits to proc it, then you have a very fast charge and can start clearing space.
You do not want to look at the trauma staff as a single hit strike, you want to look at it as a auto grenade launcher.
I got lucky, mine dropped in my lap, and when I could I upgraded the blessings from 3 to 4.
Mine is everything maxed except damage, which is 45%. Perks are flak and unarmored. I’d swap unarmored to maniacs if I could, but locks. Blessings are Warp flurry 4, and warp nexus 4.
Between them once I’m procced up I send everything into perma stun lock like a lightning staff from knocking them off their feet, but after a couple of blasts they tend to die a lot faster, and I can aim it crazy well because I choose where it goes off, I don’t toss a ball and hope.
Who would imagine a guy who said he didn’t see the point of a staff might actually benefit from a description of that point?
Especially when they said they never used it?
Obviously “never used it” REALLY means “I used it extensively for a year and with every combination of blessings, and after extreme experince, it didn’t appeal to me.”
