I voted “no” because, while I enjoy DT, it’s far less enjoyable than it was in the past (say 1 year at least), and I log in much less often in comparison.
Of course, the biggest downfall was the introduction of Arbiters, which dramatically made the game even easier what it had already become by that time (normal mode). Of course, I’ll be all for it if the latest balance patch continues in the same direction.
The hunger for new maps is also strong. I’m still too lazy to check out the new arena in Trials, as this mode holds little interest for me. And yes, I know there are a lot of common maps in dt now, but each new one really refreshes the overall sense of replayability. Well, I’m also interested in the story. What kind of resurrection ritual was this? What’s next?
Havoc isn’t that bad, but I don’t like the extra hassle with group finder and deranking, especially if I don’t play dt every week to maintain my current rank. I also don’t consider this mode important. I’d like the regular Auric with quickplay to be the same difficulty as Havoc 25, and for some modifiers not to be restricted to that mode only.
No one want to see it in havoc 40
Barely anyone plays Bolter either, and I play Bolter Veteran the most. When I play any other class, the majority of Veterans to this day play Plasma/DS in quickplay Havoc 40. Some play Bolt Pistol with DS or Power Sword. I’ve seen Hellbore maybe a couple of times in my hunrdreds of Havoc runs.
It might be a strong build in the right hands, but calling Hellbore “easy” is surely something else.
No, but there is someone who plays Havoc and also has never played Havoc.
my bad, pic tiny eyes tired

Do you enjoy Havoc ?
- Yes
- No
- Never played it
- Tried but hate it
- Not worth the effort

That’s four different No’s
Yes, but the No’s are different shades of no
I would enjoy Havoc but I dont feel like its worth the effort, so mine isnt really a no, I just dont think the whole party system + derank works for someone like me who doesnt really enjoy having to communicate with people, hence my “its not worth it”.
Exactly.
There seems to be no consideration from FS about providing a purpose.
When I started playing, near the release date, I assumed that NPCs would provide more content, new bosses will be added, we would have flash maps, new biomes will provide contrast, and new factions will offer new behaviors.
None of that was delivered and FS does not want to supply original and fresh content, just secondary rehashed assets forming an astroturfed series of updates that we are supposed to welcome and cheer about.
Who wants to redo the same maps, with explosive barrells or napalmed floors for already maxxed out currencies?
What sane mind would grind this?
Blue stimm purple bulwark is the most obnoxious thing ever added to this game. Like we are reaching VT2 beastmen launch levels of terrible enemy design. An unending wall of enemies (that can potentially instakill you) that you can’t harm unless you somehow manage to kill the thing healing them all infinitely (sitting at the very back of the horde, of course).
Because everybody assumes the weapon isn’t viable because it isn’t plasma gun. You shoot the entire game and still have infinite ammo that can be given to your team instead. Constantly have 150+ elites and specials killed, most boss damage.

It might be a strong build in the right hands, but calling Hellbore “easy” is surely something else.
In a team thats spamming the defensive ults its extremely safe. I’m telling you from experience.
I feel the wrist problems settling in when I play Havoc. Got my 40, got my penances, might help people through the lower ranks sometimes, but I’m over it.
As for the rest of the game, I just want more balance passes, weapons, classes, and maps. To be honest the best thing the game could get for longevity is community tools for modders and mapmakers, since who knows when they will cease support and/or make “Darktide 2” or whatever.
Left for Dead is still played to this day due to the support framework the game had.

You shoot the entire game and still have infinite ammo that can be given to your team instead
Even with infinite ammo, the helbore still does very little damage, and it’s the same with other lasguns
I never meet any vet can deal more than 60k dpm by lasgun and exe stance in havoc 40
I just now tried making a Helbore build and got it to two shot H40 Crushers, so I’m not sure how much more damage it needs.
Like no one in party finder is playing Martyrdom Eviscerator but that doesn’t stop it from being a great build that dunks on armor and bosses.

just now tried making a Helbore build and got it to two shot H40 Crushers
Rotten armour will provides 75% ranged damage resistance, making it pretty useless to shoot them.
ok then dont play it into rotten armor
I play Havoc. Is it worth the effort of going through the party finder and then playing 35 minutes for the team to be booted out with error 2014?
No. I don’t enjoy it. But I’m playing 18 more games to get my Havoc penances done.
You didn’t carry hard enough, had to leave me the vet with my jiggly DS doing the heavy lifting smh
I played with a.a, him using helbore, he’s not lying
It’s not just Havoc.
Balancing across all difficulties is out of whack. Has been for a while. The game’s become a chore to play and i am talking about its core aspect. The combat.
I mainly stick to Heresy. That’s my preference. Always has been since the “beta” tests.
The AI “Director” is out of whack and has been for months. Even on lower difficulties, be it Malice or Uprising, with no modifier, it just keeps shiating out specials like there’s no tomorrow. Crushers within Crushers and that kind of incompetence.
Audio cues? What fakking audio cues? I guess i should be glad that my audio is not completely cutting out like it used to.
Fatshart has always mistreated this game as well as its shrinking player base. For years.
I knew that this thing was done when the lead combat designer left the company.

Mats leaving was a pretty bad sign and a very sad day for the Tide games.
Some of the changes (maybe even most) that I am seeing since are not filling me with confidence.
