According to SteamDB, Redfall currently has a 24 hr peak of 50 concurrent players. 13 at the time of writing.
D4 has a 2.2/10 player rating on metacritic.
Exoprimal I’ve never heard of, so I got nothin’ there.
ST:E is rapidly dying because it’s infested with Chinese hackers and griefers and only has servers in like 2 regions. EDIT: There’s apparently more servers now.
D4 is the one with the best hope, but that’s just the Blizzard name propping it up. The others are terminal.
Given the lack of serious progress around the core issues people have with DT, this seems to actually be doing pretty well in comparison to those.
I think DT has one of those loyal fanbases that can’t really get their itch scratched anywhere else. It’d take some competition within this particular niche to make a real dent in the group of people who are still playing.
New Servers: APAC Region
Military Intelligence has heard the requests to improve the connection to Valaka for our Troopers stationed around the globe. We are pleased to share that new servers have been added for Asia East, Asia Southeast, and Australia Southeast and will be online when this update goes live!
It actually went live a bit before the patch came out, but they didn’t really announce it outside of the Discord. They have similar issues with comms being a bit fractured.
Not that I’d have seen that anyway, since I’ve been expecting that sort of news in a separate announcement, but man, that is some horrible presentation on that note. Flavour in patch notes can go jump. Just give me the raw info.
I might check it out again then, but if it really is still as full of hackers and griefers as all the community chatter makes it out to be, it’ll be a short visit.
I don’t mind it too much at the start and end of a post, but I don’t want to have to filter that junk out of every single note to figure out what it is they’ve changed.
I’m not playing Darktide and I will definitely continue to not play Darktide when BG3 becomes available.
It’s hard to resist the furry intercourse!
Larian seems to be doing pretty much everything right, so it might be worth taking a look at even for people that normally doesn’t appreciate the genre.
There’s so much hope for this title paired with such low expectations that we’re all spending time here on these forums discussing entirely different titles.
Good lord, this is depressing. Fatshark fumbled the ball and refuses to pick it up again because they’re afraid of us watching what they do with it and they don’t have faith in themselves to not immediately fumble it again.
This game could have stood on its own legs next to Deep Rock Galactic, as another shining example of what indie studios can do.
That they CAN set a trend where overwhelming majority of the players base adore it.
However DS decided to sh-t the bed and make dumbf-ck decisions over and over again.
here we are…
As much as I’m not a massive fan of the DRG’s art style, together with Battlebit Remastered, its another title which shows to a major Swedish gaming studio how it is done.
I looked it up.
“Employees are entitled to up to 25 days of paid annual leave after they have completedd 12 months of work in the company. Employees are entitled to take a continuous four-week vacation during the period June to August, unless there are circumstances justifying other arrangements.”
So yeah. They’ve been on vacation and they’re probably coming back over the next week or two. I did hear there was a comms link this week on the rumor vine but I have no idea. Good for them, hope they had a great vacation. But basically I wouldn’t expect any major devwork to go out the door for at least another month if not longer. Mostly it’ll be small patches.
Just play Remnant 2 in the mean time. Baulder’s Gate 3 is releasing soon as well with Starfield shortly after. So there are some good games to play instead of this slop. You could be gone for 2 years and Darktide will have maybe a new map by then.
