Wrist support just means something to alleviate stress on the wrist. Best to leave the medical diagnoses to the professionals, don’t you think?
“Wrist” is a misnomer.
You mean like recommending wrist support (rests)? You shouldn’t be making recommendations like this, dontcha think?
That’s why, I did think, and I linked article that had further links and citations, and with the not unreasonable expectation that nobody in their right mind isn’t going to read up on it further.
Here are some links in the article I linked, no thinking requiring, I saved you a click, the rest is up to you.

I said, “support”, not “rest”. I’m happy to discuss this, but if you’re going to disagree with me, at least disagree with what I actually said.
Oh? And what’s the difference exactly? Seems like you’re just trying to walk it back because it clashes with what you followed it up with.
If you’re gonna be a “this guy”, you can play by yourself. No need to discuss it, I have my answer. No need for a professional opinion either, at least not on this matter.
Seems like you misinterpreted what I said and went “Aha! I have an opportunity to be right on the internet!”. Don’t be “that guy”.
I can’t even find 1 single keypad for left handed people unfortunately. Would love one of those razer ones but they only do them for right handed people.
I also use a standing desk for this reason (Ikea Idasen). Not just to stand on occasion, but to fiddle moving the desk a little bit here and there to get the right angle.
Then a split titled up keyboard (Dymga raise) , vertical gaming mouse (Azeron Cryo) , and ergonomic chair (The fern).
I used to have lots of wrist pain. All gone.
Take a look at these^
Looked nice until I saw the price! Crikey that’s almost a full set of cosmetics in commodore vestures ![]()
It’s double the price of the razer gamepad and razer ain’t cheap!
I’ll have to look for something else. Thank for the link though.
I would recommend, if you can, one with good macros and one that is split and vertical. It makes a world of difference, whatever you get. You only have one set of wrists, and if you’re going to put a lot of mileage on the board getting something to reduce the pain will help.
Check out some vertical mice and standing desks too! And 4d arm rests on your chair!
Yeah that’s why I want the razer but facing the other way. It’s so ridiculous they don’t make them left handed or ambidextrous
The vertical mice work wonders if your mouse hand has these sorts of issues. I can’t recommend them enough for people who have pain in that arm anywhere from their fingers all the way up to their shoulders.
@MadMartigan I’m sure ergo keyboards etc will help, but just wondered…
How deep is your desk?
I found a big improvement (after the Herman Miller chair) was simply pushing the keyboard further back on the desk so I had more space for my forearms and I wasn’t typing ‘cramped up’. I got a free (and good) fabric mousepad that’s fairly big (A4 sized), and this just lets me sit near the desk but have room to stretch out a bit.
Might be cheaper!?
PS I’m a lefty too - but I play with mouse in right hand. Guess I grew up with the old BBC keyboard " zx /; return" settings!
I’m a digital artist by trade so my desk is pretty whopping. It’s also a standing desk as I just love standing at a desk - barely had any back trouble in many years since adopting the standing.
Keyboard is quite far back as I use it for work where it sits further/beyond my wacom.
I’ve since placed a moleskin book up against my keyboard that is the exact height of the keyboard and the base of my hand fits on it nicely. It’s been quite comfortable so far. Might look at getting something actually designed for purpose.
I do really wish I could use one of those razer tartarus pads though. They look amazing! The thumb stick seems so cool. Sigh… Us lefties never get the good stuff!
On the plus side of being lefty we do get to use the arrow keys and surround keys which is almost like a gamepad anyway. Well… You don’t if you play keyboard with left hand like a heretic ![]()
literally decades ago i learned the hard way to not beat on stuff when angry with gaming.
broke the edge of my palm, the bone part behind the pinky, while karate chopping the top of my chair.
chair-sensei won without contest.
little did i know it was to be my mouse hand in the future.
anyways, getting older and still putting in the same hours, especially while on vacation, i got times when my tendons seem to call it quits and start to bother me.
so far i´ve been able to toughen through, not wanting to waste precious gaming time, but maybe in the future i need to resort to :

I feel ya, I could not play certain weapons without the Fullauto mod. If the younger players were wise they would be using it too as a preventative measure.
