How to sharpen the game?

Hi, I got a new pc and now all my games are beautiful. Well, except of V2. Ingame sharpening is too weak to sharpen the game with TAA On but without TAA edges are pixelated. I tried to sharpen it with my amd gpu but the game crashed because of eac. I tried reshade (new and old too) but the game crashed too because of eac. So how we are supposed to sharpen the game when the game itself does not give us tools and does not allow us to use external tools?

send a screenshot please, im wondering what you consider unsharp

With EAC, there’s probably not much you can do.

TAA is garbage. It can cause input lag and blurry motion. Even if edges look a little pixelated, I’d keep it off and use. There’s really no good alternative either. ReShade is terrible, I don’t know why people like it. A lot of games force TAA, for which there are some workarounds.

If your new PC is good, you can pretty much drag and drop SMAA into your game, and it’s generally much better than TAA: mrhaandi's crypto corner: injectSMAA
Though, this will also probably be blocked by EAC since it’s a binary the game didn’t ship with.

The best would probably be Super Sampling AA, but it’s pretty heavily reduces performance.

Download for injectSMAA doesn’t work. Error 404.

Straight BS that the options for alternative AA just aren’t there. TAA isn’t “good enough”.

Yeah, AMD has FSR and it works in Darktide, but Vermintide 2 doesn’t appear to support it yet. Your best option with a decent PC for Vermintide 2 is if you have an Nvidia card. You can use Nvidia DLSS and supersampling. It’s much better than TAA.

I would google a more recent SMAA download. It’s not hard to add to games. It’s just a post process filter, so it shouldn’t be difficult to add unless the game has anti-cheat.
