the initial idea was one career per quarter and maps ever so often.
i get that they put a hold until it would be playable by more players, but were half a year in
and we got nothing.
not even a a single word mentioning anything.
i can’t believe that the initial plans were even remotely honest at this point. there’s just no way that your expectation was flawless release into content in February. that doesn’t add up.
has half your staff resigned?
when is the game back on track?
is anything in the making?
When will content production resume normal schedule?
Obviously it’s been slow going, and the lack of communication on the matter is annoying, however I’m holding out hope that either this “big” May patch will either be the start of it, or they’ll say they’re going to start it. At the very least I’m pretty sure Catfish said that the Comm Links up to and including the May Patch would have more info on those things.
A bit more transparency would never hurt anyone though. And I really want Gun Lugger and Crusader sub classes. I stg if they’re paid dlc though…
Yeah, i love this game, but i find myself struggling to keep playing it. The entire community is STARVED for new content right now. And unfortunately, it sounds like all were getting in the may content drop is some new skins, and more penances, because we definitely needed more of those…
this is probably the biggest hinderence to any new content. prioritizing making it work on console is the biggest mistake they could make but it has been a priority of theirs since the game released and until they release it for the console plebs this game wont see any major updates
While more substantial content is needed, I don’t want to get mad at FS for adding more free cosmetic options as its very starved as it is. For me the more free options are in the game, the more likely I am to buy them because it’ll feel less like predatory business tactics.
I anticipate further dissapointing outcomes until console launch. Which maybe is in may, maybe not. I expect no new classes until console then one shortly thereafter. Because they need to stick the landing or this ship is gonna sink in the fatsea.
For May i’m hoping for:
1 new map (not in rotation for 2 weeks)
5 new weapon marks
1 new weapon (causes crashes, causes crushers to behave like muties when equipped)
1 new menue in the hub for disposing of excess bricked weapons
1 new enemy monstrosity (doesn’t spawn)
2 new low intensity only conditions that replace all hi-int modifiers for 4 weeks:
Trapper Trap (spawns waves of trappers)
mutie mayhem (spawns waves of muties)
Buffs and nerfs:
Ogryn nerfed
Psyker nerfed
Shredder Autopistol buffed
Powersword reworked (people don’t like it despite still being OP)
Muties reverted
Dogs “fixed” ™
The way it works for me rn: boot up, check if melk has “pinning fire 4” for boltor, play 1 map and then close the game again.
I got past the progression on my vet (except pinning fire 4 on bolt) and I refuse to start any new chars since none of my earned currencies transfer over and the sheer thought of having to re-grind a new arsenal for a new char who shares items i have on my vet makes me honestly want to delete the game instead of just closing it.
That is EXACTLY what I’m doing I blew my saving trying to craft it and really cba to play much anymore to get more.
Yeh I hear that recently ive been thinking F it. Too many things wrong with this game and the nerf to power sword I think has tipped me over the edge. I just cant make myself put hours into this game anymore. Get on play one game go off do somthin else.
The last 3 days I tried to farm some plasteel to at least try and get something new but guess which map was the only one on Damnation+? The one that has it’s crafting mats spawns bugged lmfao. The best part is: I launched it anyways and every single time I cursed when I realized what map I was on.
That was only possible because I can’t remember the names of a single map and even now that I had such a negative experience with it, I STILL CAN’T REMEMBER IT!
Even when you try and ignore the frankly f**ked crafting system, the game lets you know just what else is wrong with it.
Legit had me about to go nuclear when I saw the fallout over the PS nerf and I rerolled my boltor for Pinning fire 3 and the very next post I read on reddit was some asking for Pinning fire to be nerfed… That was their response to seeing the flamer and PS nerfed, ask for another nerf.

I have just writen exactly this before opening this thread.
Tbh I feel bolter too strong… but not causze it can wipe everything in a room. Cause this weapon can wipe everything in a room (normal this is a bolter) and can snipe far away as good as any weapon that can snipe and with big damages. This is the only thing that needs a correction.
You don’t have to remember the name. If there is a big satellite on miniature of the mission, the one in the middle of desert sending baaad signal that you must turn off - that’s the map you wanna avoid. The other one with big satellite is in Throne-side and it’s in nice part of hive-city. That one is ok.
I can live with having to grind up new items of the same pattern just beause they’re not class locked. They aren’t the same character. Its not too rediculous. But at least give me my money and mats. It doesn’t make any sense but at least that way I won’t have to do the whole grind top to bottom again. Bootstrapping a new character feels totally un worth it compared to using the one I already primarily enjoy.
The flamer and power sword were over-powered. The flamer is now probably still OP but not as overwhelming so it should be left alone for a while.
The power sword got nerfed wierdly and badly and is due for another pass or even a rework.
Bolter seems to be fine. Once you look at the numbers vets pull running bolter without power sword its not too out of line. Some people have argued Brutal Momentum is out of line but that seems wrong. The problem is that the Antax does a huge pile of anti-carapace armor despite just being an axe. It should run into more of a challenge on carapace. It does around 300 now with rising conviction and headtaker stacks driving it into the 450 range. I’m not sure how to balance that to be honest. Perhaps a hair less base damage to carapace or perhaps the DR from armor needs to be tweaked in percentage a bit. The Axes just need to not be everything killers without any serious investment required.
Edit: for context the heavy sword’s so called “can opener” special attack does like 150 damage. All of these numbers are headshot.
Axe are designed to be AP weapons in Darkitde. It is the Brutal Monumentum which the anomaly here, allowing for a lot of cleave on an AP weapon. Then I’m not a fan of how overspecialised some weapons are whilst being terrible vs other types of targets.
Also regarding the topic at hand…I would not hold your breath. There is some content coming end of May, but if any of you expect a massive content drop…you don’t know the usual pace Fatshark works at. So far despite all their pre-release claims Darktide isn’t going to be any quicker at content delivery. It is a live service title…without the live part so far.
