Yeah I get that, I also get that the names have to be the way that they are because it’s 40K appropriate but let’s be real here for a sec: what is wrong with a name for a mission I can actually associate anything with? Just something I miss from VT2 is all
See, I can get behind that as well if there wasn’t this mountain of RNG in the way. In VT2 the only items shared between all 5 chars are the jewelry. AKA you had to grind for 5 separate sets of items except for the ones that were shared between all of them. That was fine in the context of being able to fully craft & reroll any item into whatever you wanted it to be and having red items be the endgame. It just made sense that the jewelry was shared as that made you wanna try out the other characters since you already had something to start with + it allowed you to not have to restart in the lowest difficulties. The entire system was designed so well and made you wanna try out new stuff.
If you compare that to DT it just makes you wanna cry. Having to regrind 5 full sets of items is not fine in the context of how DTs systems. Let us have shared items be shared damnit. Why do I have to replay the lowest 3 difficulties if I’ve proven I am well beyond them? Why are the curios not shared? They are the by far biggest offenders of RNG BS. Why do I have to regrind the same MK XII Lasgun for 3 characters?
As much as it makes sense that a new person would have to acquire a separate arsenal, that is not the kind of realism anyone actually asks for. The same way that GT7 cars had “realistic prices” and nobody asked for it. It’s a game and it’s supposed to be fun. There is plenty of class specific stuff to grind for anyways. Nevermind the fact that you might want a different MK XII for a different character due to their passives and talents etc.
I agree that it’s just so not worth it to start a new character and the changes I’d ask for would fix that. They solved this exact issue in VT2 so why wouldn’t they here, now that they would be put around systems that makes items much harder to come by.
God I hope not. The last thing DT needs is for the remaining fun to be nerfed out of it.
All that they had to do is fix the unlimited powermode bug and it was “fine” If they give it another pass, I hope for 2 power swings at base and +1 Swing on power cycler. If they wanna do something more in-depth I’d be all for it.
I forget how much it really gets but isn’t it just like +1 target? I don’t use the axe that much i just watch other zealots sprint around like lunatics with it. Which is great, good for them. I’d like to see chain weapon buffs before any axe nerfs at all.
For the record i have a BM 3 antax with headtaker 4 and have run it to good effect but it bores me to tears.
I discovered yesterday that weapon blessings harvested by hadrons hard halogen lamp collectorium are sharable account wide. If you give me mats and money and let me just play slots at brunts i can probably mostly get what i want. I will settle for “fine”. My main issue with the game remains lack of content and lack of difficulty choice.

But I would say that PS is yet a great weapon, and flamer is also great.
Bolter, I would just make them not being able to shoot with 100% accuracy far away. But they need to stay a boltgun, so they need to wipe an entire room. Nothing wrong in that.
BM, I don’t know… I use it. But as I think that the PS is more efficient than a CA with BM… I am not sure what we could nerf if we don’t nerf again the PS… and nerfing again the PS would make several players disappointed, to not say more.
Braced is not precise… that’s exactly why I try now to play the infantry autogun (but I need to get one good to test these weapons). No nerf needed there.
Power maul. Intersting weapon of the ogryn. If i would nerf something, sure it would not be this weapon.
I also saw a bunch of sht about brutal momentum btw pinning fire, vets feats, etcetc… they thought they could just make a list and the devs would nerf it all.
It would stop being a bolt gun if it wasn’t an accurate weapon. If anything at all needs to be done it should have its hipfire recoil profile increased so that its harder to mag dump on target. But jury is still out on whether or not it needs anything and I’m inclined to say leave it alone all together. It is already so miserably poor at dealing with shooter groups that I find myself gap-filling that job whenver there’s a vet with a bolter. It has enough drawbacks IMO.
I 100% disagree with you, only because of DarkTides horrible recoil model. Using the bolter ADS to take out multiple people quickly is awful because of the sight snapping it has, and because of that and lower mag size I still think the Kantrael XII is still easily the best for clearing shooter hordes.
I play the gameplay purely for the gameplay aspect. All the other systems surrounding it are kinda trash imho.
I tried starting a new character, but I just can’t be bothered slog through 30hrs+ of boring low-level grinding with crap gear, if I’m not having fun then I ain’t doing it. I guess I’m on the Zealot crew forever.

Darktide is officially not a Live Service game. There is also a lot of Steam Forum users who claim it is falsely in order to make Darktide look worse. It’s not true.
Son’t worry man, they just need to drop those promised Dedicated servers for VT that were announced… just a few… years… half a decade or so ago… an then they’l get right onto whatever new promises they made for Darktide.
