Hey, I noticed something interesting about how lights are rendered in darktide that might explain why it’s so dark in your screenshot. You’re in a situation where you need a rescue, with three teammates down and another heading your way. It looks like you’re pointing the camera at the ground.
Here’s the key detail: the flashlight in first-person view is only shown from the first- person view. That’s why the area around you seems extra dark - cause you’re in third-person. It’s not just about the game being naturally dim but more about how the game renders the light.
Just a little insight that might help you understand what’s going on visually next time you find yourself in a similar situation. Nevertheless, I agree, that screenshot is really dark…
Haha, beware the smiles in the dark.
Most places aren’t that bad on my end (matter of settings etc I’m sure), but I wish those maps had more spots with actual light sources or…Fatshark could actually allow us to equip torches on our weapons. The default “torch” we have feels like has 1% battery left.
Agree, a matter of settings.
I just love that the psyker’s bubble doubles as a fantastic searchlight. On top of the ranged defense ofc (which is extra important since the enemies all have night vision).
I don’t understand why lights out are Auric only.
It’s another FatShark shooting themselves in the foot.
Just open your eyes more, let more light in!
I can’t tell if this is supposed to be a complaint. I like it, other than the fact some classes can’t really get a strong flashlight easily (and one not at all)
