I mean, maybe I’m removed from the bubble that is “$40 is a lot of money”. I dropped $200 on dinner and drinks last night. So for the current state of the game, $40 for having sunk 80 hours into it seems a fair trade.
Anyone who’s complaining about the endgame should probably be rolling alts right now and leveling them for when solo mode becomes available.

I agree with you. People have been conditioned to find insult or outrage in everything these days. Instead of just internally pondering, “why should this actually upset me so much” or “does it really betray me at the personal level where my mental health should take a hit and I go trash some people on forums”?

I’m rolling alts and the game is fart. I spent €700 for PS2 and it gave me 2400 hrs of playing time and I don’t regret it. VT1 and 2 gave me more. DT gave me simply an idea how the devs are just basement nerds they are

Who’s attacking anyone here? We’re rightfully pointing out and expressing our frustration to the company who hasn’t delivered what they promised. Which is what you’re supposed to do when encountering issues.
If you’re unable to handle that, then I suggest you don’t add your 2 cents into the conversation.
It’s not that 40 bucks is a lot of money. It’s the fact that they sold a full game and didn’t deliver on their promises.
Pointing this out on the forums is what you’re supposed to do. The white knighting BS that has been going on is the glorification of ignorance.
If “trashing people on forums” means holding the publisher accountable and expressing customers rightful anger, then yes. I guess it is trashing.

I didn’t say they can’t point it out. But it’s really tiresome to read the same rehashed post over and over “Is ThIS tHe GaMe? RlY?” That post was civil. Many of them are not.
Trust me–the devs know they didn’t deliver on things. And ultimately, it probably falls on a producer’s shoulders that made the call. But don’t expect a personal apology from the CMs on every post. Aqshy is fully aware of certain fans’ frustrations.
Fair enough, but you’re acting as if people expressing their frustration is a physical attack on the devs. Which is absurd. The amount of “outrage” is how a company judges how much they’ve screwed up.
If all they get in return is having to read/skim through how many posts are angry, then they should find themselves lucky.
I understand the difference between whining and expressing actual frustration and feedback. I hope you do as well, because there is in fact a difference.

How can a company like fatshark be arrogant when companies like Mihoyo exist? Reminds me of TOOL fans.
Let me clarify by saying I’m on the side of the people expressing their disappointment. I’m disappointed with many aspects as someone working on their 4th level 30. But honestly, the entitlement some people project here or the lack of compassion for people is really worrisome.
Granted, it’s an internet forum, so I know expectations are low, but there are some really toxic people here that just lambaste the CMs or studio, and anyone who doesn’t match their passionate hatred for the current state gets branded a “white knight” or “simp” for the studio.
It’s like people here can’t temper their words and everything must be extreme. There is no in-between. You either hate the game and are a loyal gamer, or you’re a traitor white knight for understanding the nuances and difficulty in the game dev community and not joining in on attacks.

I think the irony is that a lot of those people wont be happy regardless of what FS actually does in response.
Taking this post as an example, what if they did give apologems or whatever? Chances are there’d be another 5-10 posts complaining about how that cost nothing to give so it means nothing, and if they have time to be making apologies they should spend that time actually working to show it rather than just making statements.
Posts complaining about powersword OP and bad weapon balancing, then complaining that it chops armor a little less before the patch even hits. Or acting like someone at FS actually drowned their mother because there were 5 less weapons than promised for launch, then complaining that the two new weapons dont have enough hands groping them. Heck it was a big update post with a bunch of changes in the direction people have been asking for and you had people ripping CM a new one for a typo…
I get that these aren’t actually the same people saying these contrary things, but it gets to the point where some of these forum posts just want something to be angry about. And then you get the ‘no true Scotsman’ schtick where obviously the whole community must agree with whatever the latest angry post is, and anyone who is maybe just less upset must therefore be a paid shill or whatever.
There are plenty of valid complaints, but sometimes it feels like theres not actually alot of discussion in good faith around any of it.
