so why was the Ogryn nerfed so much, apparently for no reason? People kept expecting him to get some love or balance, and he kept getting nerfed, so where is the disconnect? FS has such an amazing IP to work with that has a lot of love, yet they seem to make choices that keep the game very mid at best. After all this time of constant poor choices that keep the player base low, I think it is fair to ask some questions about playtesters and maybe refresh the group

& of course, my post gets taken down. Quite typical when you’re telling it like it is. They hate when you tell that truth on here. I find it utterly fascinating how others have said similar things as me, but their posts don’t get taken down. I guess when you put a Mod in their place they get a little excited. This is what censorship looks like. I’ve said nothing derogatory to anybody. Just stating an opinion is all. But some people are a bit too sensitive for that. At this point, I’m wearing my deleted posts with a badge of honor.

Such a great and accurate post in my opinion. People complaining the game is too easy has turned every single mission condition into the same-y elite squad spam, before that sniper gauntlet, dogs and darkness missions actually had unique gameplay feel to them. Nowadays it doesn’t matter which Maelstorm condition or auric mission you launch, it all feels the same…
People abuse the most broken builds, stack up crutch mods under the pretense of QOL and accessability and play only with friends who are very experienced tide players and after stacking every advantage possible they claim the game is too easy for them, completely twisting the balance to the point where Havoc 40 has 3.5 worthwhile builds that don’t feel like a slog.

I currently run havoc with multiple playtesters, using the worst builds we can come up with, and still we win. I am 90% certain the majority, if not the vast majority of the playtest pool do not use the “crutch” mods as well.

dogs have very little gameplay unless you’re part of the very few players that can clear a wave mid air.
most of the time some zealot throws a grenade on the ground or a psyker kills them or someone finds their spawn and door bashes them before they even spawn.
dogs are an awful condition and shouldnt be part of the main rotation, we have so much better stuff.

I liked it, the only mission condition I somewhat dislike is pox gas. Dog missions became chill and fun ever since they reworked it by spawning more dogs with less HP, it’s really fun to see them run out and die at the same time.
Instead of just constantly pushing further, people actually stop once in a while and take a breather by camping the dog wave out which makes the mission somewhat unique. Not to mention that easier modifiers like that encourage people to bring weaker weapons. Right now the game is in the state where almost every single mission condition requires the same loadouts and punishes people experimenting with their weapons and builds.

I’m not talking about playtesters necessarily, but rather a big group of people who play the game regurarly and push the game into the direction which me and Wahid described.
Yes, Havoc 40 can be beat with 4 good players on voice comms who play the game religiously with many weird builds. Do you think this is the reality of how the game is played or it is an exception to the rule?
There’s an insane disconnect between hardcore players who play in premades and the actual quickplay experience in both Havoc and Auric.

You can easily pub havoc 40s with randoms and still have a pretty decent winrate. I’ve done mostly just that since havoc dropped.
Havoc doesn’t require any meta abusing at all. If you understand that all you have to do is pull back and don’t rush, whilst checking your backline, you basically auto win when you stay together and have 1-2 people with okayish horde clear. Simply take your time and don’t panic. Most pubbies understand this by now. I’d say you can have 30-50% winrate on H40s with randoms, on EU evenings at least.
Some more sensible groups in the forums are prone to report spamming, which has your post hidden. It’s not always the mods/CHs hiding them. People can’t take the heat most of the time.
