Unironically my vision for the sword is blocking takes a bit of time compared to normal and involes you hiding behind the flat like its a big shield, nose down on the ground. There is only one light attack and its you hoisting it over your shoulder and throwing an overhead that bisects enemies. Then you have to pick it up again. It comes out “quick” (9000 years) The heavy attack is a horizontal spin attack for 360 degrees literally make me sick tier nonsense and deals 1000 damage and cleaves. The special attack is also an overhead but it doesn’t stop sawing until the target and any targets behind it in a line are dead.
Chain Cleaver when!?
Speaking of paddles can we please fix the slappy sounds and lack of rev on chaxe heavy attacks? it sounds like he forgot to turn the thing on. Its dumb as hell.
And it’s too short also, arming sword length is like ~90cm, so near the half of an average height of modern male, but medieval people were shorter.
There are new posses you can find via mods, and you can see how 1h sword is short, like backsword or machete. Its pommel should be somewhere at the chin level, so ~30% longer blade.
You get me. The less sensible the Eviscerator is made the better it will be. I should have a fair chance of dying using this thing on every single swing.
The recent nerfs (bleed dealing less damage, reduced bleed stacks on Bloodletter, and reduced revved light attack damage) made the Eviscerator a much worse weapon than it was.
It could be improved easily by simply reversing those three changes.
I feel like the best way to keep everyone happy is with two new variants. Keep current Evic as is besides some minor fixes with recently introduced issues. It can be the light Evicerator.
Add a medium Evicerator that has the 0 IQ combo so many people want (spam light for hordes, heavy for single target). Slower swing speed, less mobility, better damage.
Then add a heavy Evicerator that is by far the slowest and least safe but hits like a truck and cleaves for days. Similar to what @Reginald is describing but less extreme. It can have a reversed combo to the medium with heavies for sweeping attacks and lights for vertical single target stands somewhat similar to VT2 greataxe moveset.
IDK, I enjoyed UGS the most playing darksouls. Would be pretty funny to have a proper eviscerator that has some FU damage, but it’s totally just a brick you drop on enemies.
Revert Eviscerator to before it was “fixed” will fix the eviscerator. It’s REV attack used to be bugged and not function like other chain weapons and it would instead get infinite cleave. That weapon was so silly you used to be able to cleave through multiple Specialists and elites. Now it can’t do these things anymore and will hang up on a single sniper… GIMME Back mY OLD EVISCERATOR FAT SHARK.
Also put chain Axe SFX on eviscerator. Not a fan of the whimpy eviscerator sound effects.
Hello.
“Very strong” is a “strong” statement. Blessings aside, I can’t kill an ordinary scab without a helmet with the first power attack (horizontal) to the head in one hit. At the same time, the attack is quite slow, and for example, an ax will cope with this task twice as fast.
For some reason, its damage to targets without armor is lower than to targets in flakarmor. Not OK.
As for the moveset, it is simply inconvenient to use the first, horizontal attack, with the saw spinning up. Most likely the sawing target will be an elite target. It will be much more convenient to make a power attack vertically so that you can clearly hit the target.
The general problem with this weapon is that it is a generalist that tries to do everything but ends up being mediocre at everything.
By the way, about reducing toughness damage. You may be right and 50% is too much. But I was referring specifically to durability damage, based on the nature of this mechanic in melee, and not a general reduction in any damage.
In general, the idea of introducing a second variation of the eviscerator with different characteristics is also a great idea.
